In NC we find that the ground climate and moisture are very conducive to termites settling in and causing damage to homes and their structures. In most cases these pests are working away destroying wood frames and such without the homeowner ever knowing. It is very wise as a home buyer to obtain a WDIR-100 ( Wood Destroying Insesct Report ) regardless if the lender is requesting one. Most lenders DO request one.

When you think of Coastal Carolina, you may think sandy beaches and palm trees. This cow is part of a herd less than a mile from my home in Morehead City. It's cool  to have cows mooing and rooster crowing in the morning while living a coastal life!  The farm is situated along the Newport River which offers quite the view for this fella!

After a long week of  rain and wind from the Nor'Easter produced from remnants if Tropical Storm Ida ,
 the weekend weather and temps were simply beautiful.
Tonights  sunset splashing into the marsh was a perfect punctuation to a great Coastal weekend.

 My favorite time of year is here.. cool ocean breezes and temps hovering around 70.
Tourism traffic has slowed, no lines in the restaurants and miles of shoreline to stroll and unwind.
