I encourage my coaching clients to use Wordpress blogs as a “home base” for your online marketing, and so I’m often asked by agents which Wordpress plugins I recommend. I have put together a list of the ones I think are most helpful for real estate agents marketing online. But I do want to remind readers that these are tools - so pick the ones that will help you in your business. More is not necessarily better, and in fact can slow down the loading time of your blog, which could decrease readership in the long run if (12 comments)
Can you explain your marketing to your clients? - 03/19/09 03:47 PM
This post comes from another interesting post here on Active Rain - The Top 10 Technology Questions to Ask When Hiring a Realtor®. While the post is geared towards helping consumers choose a tech-savvy Realtor®, it got me thinking about whether we sell our online marketing as well as we sell traditional offline marketing to potential clients. Do you fully understand why you do what you do? Can you show and explain results coming in from online listing or social networking sites you participate in? Make a Referral Week - will you make a referral? - 03/11/09 03:17 PM
This week, March 9th-March 13th, is Make A Referral Week. The idea was created by John Jantsch over at Duct Tape Marketing. All this week at his Duct Tape Marketing blog, he’s hosting guest posts and radio shows by all sorts of people, including Andy Sernovitz, Guy Kawasaki, Pam Slim, Rich Sloan, Anita Campbell, Scott Ginsburg, Michael Port and Jill Konrath. All of them share their tips and tools on how to generate more referrals for your business. Make a referral. Make a job. Make enough referrals and you make a job, or two, or 10. I’m a strong believer in (3 comments)
A bit o'luck for your real estate marketing - 03/11/09 01:21 PM
Looking for a fun reason to get in touch with your client database? Every year around St. Patricks Day, I coach my agents to try this fun little gift for their clients. Grab a bunch of scratch-off lottery tickets, and send one out with a little note. Go all out and make it really cheesy - green paper or envelopes, “Pot O’Gold” lottery tickets, and a funny note that says something like: Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! See if you have the “Luck of the Irish” in finding your Pot O’Gold. And remember, if you know someone looking to buy (6 comments)
Let your Prospects "See" the Results of Working With You - 03/06/09 11:16 AM
If seeing is believing, are you “showing off” your satisfied clients? Testimonials are a great tool in generating new business and developing trust. You should be collecting them in some form as regularly as you can. But as we all know, sometimes seeing something makes a much bigger impact than just reading about it. Why not start collecting quick video testimonials from your satisifed and appreciative clients? While not every client may be appropriate, certain transactions or clients may stand out as great sources of testimonials. Getting a quick clip of a homeowner that was stressed about selling their house, and (11 comments)
