A gift of my job is the wonderful people who I am likely to meet.   I was referred to a man named Pat through my accountant.   She warned me that he was in his late 80's, had been "through" a couple of other Realtors and was best described as cantankerous.   Dear Pat.  
He had reasons to be cantankerous.   His younger wife was leaving him, divorcing in fact because she didn't sign on for "old age".   The house he had built, enjoyed and was comforted by had to be sold as part of the settlement.   He had been a "money man" all … (4 comments)

This weekend was a busy weekend for me.   Loads of business and open houses.   I had a blast.   When I finally had time to look at the Cape Cod Times newspaper I was shocked to see my dear friends son in the headlines.   Seems he firebombed a house full of sleeping babies... Four small children and two parents.   The firebomb landed on the childrens bed.    Everyone got out safely but the house was destroyed and he was in the paper in hand cuffs along with some of his gang members.   The paper said it was over a screw driver... huh?  Please...
