transactions: The Power of Keeping in Touch.... - 02/17/10 07:15 AM

Six years after I sold this sweet little Cape with large yard and one car garage, I got the call.   My clients had since had 2 small boys and needed to move closer to grand parents for love and support. Could I sell their house?
In 7 days we had this sweet piece of Cape Cod under contract with a closing date that works for my sellers.   Of course I can sell your house!   The post cards, the phone calls, the Christmas rememberences... The welcome new baby gifts... paid off.

O Happy Day....New Year, New Market! I have just spent the weekend at a Master Sales Academy and heard only optimistic projections for 2009. After all... optimisim is the only response to the negativity that surrounds us. Recently a seller of mine had to return a sizable deposit because the buyer, who was still interested in the house, but was impacted by the PONZI scheme tha is making national news. With great disappointment the Sellers released the deposit, understanding the buyers had bigger worries then they even knew ahead of them. Who needs that Karma? Shake it off... cut it loose.

Ok... so I am selling my house in New Hampshire. We don't use it anymore. It's time even if the Market is poky. What am I learning about being on the other side of the table in a Real Estate Transaction. Sellers want the facts. Sellers want the education. Sellers want to be communicated with. In the big picture as a Real Estate professional ... I can tell you that I get busy, I get distracted, I may not communicate as well with my many listings as I should.
