REO-Foreclosure Listing & Sales Activity in Placer County, CA - 09/24/10 08:00 PM
As you can see by the graph we were averaging about 100 closed sales per month and about the same amount of pending sales, BUT in August there was a serious increase in purchase activity. With interest rates at historic lows, Investors are gaining confidence that now is the time to make a move. Other charts show signs the the deep housing values slide is over and in many areas they are beginning to stablize.

Georgetown Divide in El Dorado County has been named among the 100 Best Communities for Young People in America by America's Promise Alliance.
America's Promise Alliance is a national organization based in Washington DC, founded by General Colin Powell and his wife Alma Powell and dedicated to improving the lives of American children.
The Alliance touts that every young person deserves five promises in life: caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, effective education and opportunities to help others.
This is the third year the Georgetown Divide has been honored on the 100 Best Communities list.

Placer County Board of Supervisors to hear Bohemia appeal 9-28 - 09/12/10 07:26 PM
On Sept. 28th at 1:30 PM the BOS will hear an appeal on the proposed Auburn Bohemia site, big box store development. If you support it, have a concern or just want to know how it goes and what the process is, show up early. Seating is limited. The meeting will be held in the BOS Chamber at the Dewitt Center on Bell.

Help keep our kids off drugs! - 09/10/10 11:26 AM
Many kids start drug addiction at home, at a friend's, neighbor's or relative. There is a cornacopia of precription drugs that can be abused in most household medicine cabinets. Share this information with everyone you know.
Safely discard unused drugs and raise awareness. Caution seniors to let you know, if their prescriptions are disappearing. We all witnessed the scene on "Deadliest Catch", it could be happening closer to you than you think. Discuss this with your family and see if someone you know needs help. Getting help early saves lives and futures.
