country property: California: New Fee - Fire Prevention Will Cost Homeowners $150. per year - 08/12/11 01:24 PM
Cal Fire Fee
Gov. Jerry Brown recently signed into law a $150 annual wildfire protection fee for property owners in rural areas of California. While the regulators are still working out the details and some counties are even preparing to seek answers from the courts, we want you to be as prepared as possible with knowledge of the areas likely to be affected by this new fee. We have provided a copy of the map showing those proposed affected areas in yellow.

country property: Trouble brewing for Septics & Wells - 02/01/09 08:56 PM
In 2000 CA voters passed AB 885 which was a clean air and water act legislation.  In the body of the legislation is called for determining standards for ensuring clean air and water.  So far so good right?  We all want clean air and water.  So, since there weren't standards in place they turned to the CA State Water Resources board to come up with a plan to monitor and measure the water side.  Still ok.  Recently the CA St. Water Resources Board unveiled a draft proposal that they were to submit to the legislature on Feb. 9th 2009.  Here's where … (0 comments)
