lynnwood real estate: Lynnwood Real Estate Pre-Holiday Market & First Time Home Buyer Credit - 10/10/09 03:47 PM
Lynnwood real estate & first time home buyer credit:  As we come screeching into the finish line for buying a home that will help qualify you for the first time home buyer credit, Lynnwood real estate has been hopping.
Lynnwood home buyers who want to be able to close in time for the 11/30 closing deadline should plan on closing a couple weeks ahead at the very least to account for any potential delays. Underwriters and appraisers are backed up and processing of loans is taking longer.
We are highly recommending that our Lynnwood home buyer clients get something under contract … (0 comments)

lynnwood real estate: Lynnwood Power Out Yesterday: No Lights! - 09/02/09 09:04 AM
Lynnwood power out for a couple hours - some remain in the dark..
Power went out to many Brier and Lynnwood homes yesterday around 3:40 when according to the Snohomish PUD, a semi hit an electrical pole.  After two hours of being in the dark in Brier, I called and was told that they would have the power back on within the hour for all those except the twenty or so homes that are directly surrounding the pole.  These lucky winners get to have their power out for about 48 hours because it takes a while to replace a pole apparently.

lynnwood real estate: Lynnwood High Closed For Good, but plans up in air for old Location? - 07/11/09 03:17 PM
Doors closed for good...
I have only really been in the gym and the parking lot of Lynnwood high school as a parent of a visiting team member during sports, but it still seems sad to me that the old school will be torn down forever.  The gym and bleachers especially were horrendous, but there was still a sense of history that is hard to recapture and install in new buildings.
The new school over on North Rd is coming along and looking amazing - I guess it should since it is costing almost $100 million according to reports!  What a … (3 comments)

lynnwood real estate: Lynnwood First Time Buyers: Inspection Scares & Avoiding Pitfalls. - 06/15/09 02:22 PM
My most recent sale in Lynnwood WA was a cute house with lots of wonderful upgrades.  It had been remodeled extensively, but we still had a few things come up during inspection.   There are a lot of things that the buyers may not have necessarily asked for from the seller, but I wanted to on their behalf and luckily they were open to my ideas.
1. Smoke Detectors were not working.  The seller had already certified on the Snohomish county only NWMLS addendum 22Z that the smoke detectors were operational so it was a no brainer to just ask them to do … (0 comments)

lynnwood real estate: Since The Holidays Are Right Around The Corner: Eco Friendlier Lighting - 09/19/08 03:41 PM
Holy Cow!   I had no idea that the newer Holiday LED Lights were so great!!!!
They use a fraction of the energy of regular strings of lights and according to the info I found can last between 100,000 and 200,000 hours.
But this is the really cool part:   You can use up to 20 strings together on one circuit!!!!!!  I am constantly shorting out strings of lights because I piggy back too many together so this is good news!
Other benefits? Cool to the touch and the whole string stays lit even when a bulb is out so no more guessing … (0 comments)

lynnwood real estate: Seattle Relocation: Why Not try a Close In Seattle Suburb? - 08/30/08 03:06 PM
Seattle Relocation - Focus on Lynnwood, WA Moving to Seattle can be overwhelming!  Choosing a neighborhood or Seattle suburb is one of the many things that you will have to decide.  Seattle has so many great neighborhoods, but the suburbs are also nice for some of the wide open spaces they offer.
If you do make the decision to relocate to one of Seattle's suburbs, I would highly recommend a close in suburb because of its close proximity to Seattle, but also because it is a more central location for commuting North, South, and to the Eastside.  Lynnwood, WA is a … (0 comments)

lynnwood real estate: Lynnwood WA: Time To Wrap Those Tomatoes UP! - 08/29/08 08:53 AM
Lynnwood summer ending so soon? Well, it looks like summer might be creeping off once again right when we feel like we finally got a little bit of heat - am I the only one here feeling this way?  Gardening is always a particular challenge for me with the shorter growing season here, but I also like to start things from seed.
Trying to keep them going... I started my tomatoes from seed in January - I finally got one tomato last week and many more on the way..maybe.  Looking at all of the rain we have gotten lately makes me … (0 comments)
