law of attraction: Bad News is Dangerous - Delete It - 08/14/11 12:36 AM
Every time I log in to e-mail lately I get assaulted with bad news.
"The stock market is going to fall by 90%." "Inflation is going to double." "Unemployment is going to triple." "60% of all homeowners are going to be foreclosed upon." Home prices will continue to fall. No one can get a home loan It just goes on and on. And what bothers me is that people react.
I feel like the media is leading the American public around by the nose. People are taking action based on what the media tells them is going to happen. And … (83 comments)

law of attraction: How Does Your Success Affect Others? - 05/31/11 03:42 AM
Have you ever stopped to think about the impact your success has on those around you? I did, today, after reading a quote from Abraham (As in the Abraham-Hicks Law of Attraction books.)
The quote said:
"As you set a financial goal, it is not only about the expansion for yourself; it's about the expansion of all of those who are involved in that which you are about. In other words, it creates this nucleus, this machine, that allows so many to begin to thrive along with you. It's much bigger than finances."
Just think, when you sell a house, … (7 comments)

law of attraction: Do You Set Negative Goals? - 05/27/11 02:38 AM
I asked if you set negative goals. Am I crazy? No one would do such a thing!
But you probably do. In fact, we all do it from time to time.
How?
By allowing ourselves to worry about our finances, our prospects of success, our relationships with loved ones, and various situations that we can and do control, even if we do it unconsciously.
Brian Tracy, in his book "The Psychology of Achievement," explains that the act of worrying sets some powerful laws of the universe into action. The attention and emotion that we invest in our worries actually … (21 comments)

law of attraction: Could using this term limit your success? You decide. - 04/13/11 12:26 AM
First I should explain. I'm one of those nuts who really believes in the Law of Attraction. I'm the only one in my neighborhood who does, so mostly I keep quiet about it. When I slip and mention it to close friends and family they simply tolerate my eccentricity. (I'm one who believes we all have a right to our own beliefs, so I don't try to convince them.)
Meanwhile, I go through the day being careful about the thoughts I think and the words I say.
So, if you're a non-believer, you'll shake your head and say "No, it doesn't … (16 comments)

law of attraction: Your Mental Attitude Will Determine Your Success - 01/07/11 01:46 AM
At risk of being accused of spouting psycho-babble or being a Polyanna, I have to say what I've seen over and over to be true... It doesn't matter what the economy is doing or what others around you are doing. We each control out own outcome. It's the Law of Attraction in action.
You can’t control the market. You can’t control the banks and their decision-making as it affects your buyers and sellers. You can’t even control how the agents on the other side of your transactions will behave.
But you can determine your own success by managing the one factor … (17 comments)

law of attraction: Holiday Miracles Bring a Law of Attraction Lesson - 12/04/10 06:53 PM
When this contest first appeared I thought I'd write about a dog rescue that happened at Christmas a few years ago.
One of the dogs ended up being named "Christmas Miracle" because she not only had a broken leg (shattered by a bullet) but 7 puppies hidden under a shed on a different piece of property from the rescue site (where we rescued 29 other dogs that day.) She was a gorgeous Malamute - and leery of strange humans for a pretty good reason.
Only by chance (otherwise known as a miracle) were the puppies found. Volunteers had a feeling that … (26 comments)

law of attraction: With $220 in Savings, I'd Activate the Law of Attraction - 11/23/10 12:58 PM
With an extra $220 in my pocket, I'd take a giant leap of faith and order two tons of hay - activating the Law of Attraction to find me a perfect new horse.
Last year we lost Max to old age and the ravages of arthritis; the year before we lost my Arab gelding to cancer - and this place  feels empty without a horse in the pasture.
Now that Max is gone, I want a horse I can ride. The trouble is, finding a good horse isn't easy - especially if you don't have many thousands to spend on a … (3 comments)

law of attraction: Did the Law of Attraction Cause This? - 10/22/10 01:07 AM
The Law of Attraction fascinates me.
Until about ten years ago I was aware of its negative effects - although I'd never heard the phrase "law of attraction." I just knew that people who focused on illness and hard luck always got more of it.
As a result, I grew up learning nothing about any kind of disease because I firmly believed that thinking about them caused them to appear.
I also observed people around me who were always poor. But I attributed that to prefering unemployment to work and to not taking care of the things they owned.
Now I'm … (21 comments)

law of attraction: Survival - and the Law of Attraction - 09/10/10 06:19 PM
After reading and commenting yesterday on Loreena's post: Capitalism: Let The Fittest Survive I've been thinking about it a lot.
As I said in my own comments, I believe that only those who give value should survive. And I don't think this only applies to real estate. Excellent service and/or quality products should come before financial success. Those who have built their businesses on "using" others or on greedily deceiving others do deserve to fail.
(Tell that to Congress, please!)
But what about those people who WANT to give good service and good value? What about those who are working hard … (10 comments)

A friend sent this tonight, and after I smiled my way through it, I decided I had to share.

law of attraction: Can Feng Shui and the Law of Attraction Help Sell Homes? - 06/18/09 01:52 AM
If you believe in the law of attraction, you know that all thoughts and emotions must stay focused on the desired outcome, rather than the lack of that outcome.
In this case, they need to focus on the house being sold rather than why it hasn't sold yet.
You as the real estate agent should be envisioning shaking hands with the clients after the closing, and perhaps even thinking about where and how you'll spend the commission check. The sellers should be getting ready to move - packing the things they don't use every day, donating the things they'll never use, … (5 comments)
