First, consider your personal real estate website as the base of your marketing efforts.
Your agent website is the cornerstone - the foundation upon which to build your marketing platform.  It gives you a place to showcase your knowledge, expertise, and professionalism. Done well, it also leads people to get to know and trust you.
Because it’s so valuable, you do need to own your own site, with a URL that does not mention the name of your current brokerage. Your professional email should also be tied to that URL – not the company site.

Whether you're blogging or creating a page on your website, you're marketing your services.
You hope that your real estate marketing efforts will be repaid with new prospects calling, emailing, or texting you for assistance with buying or selling a house or land. 
So wouldn't it make sense to make it easy for those prospects to read what you have to say to them? 
Of course it would, and yet... I still see blog posts, comments, and web pages that look like an ugly gray wall of words. It looks impenetrable... like there's no way you could make it through. … (65 comments)

Unfortunately, websites can get out-dated quickly. So if you haven't given yours a checkup in the past few months, it's probably time to take these 4 steps:
