Before you decide I'm off my rocker, let me admit, that I know it's not really the house, it's the property taxes that house generates that fuels those engines. I'll also admit that it's not just the city, but the county as well, that relies on that money, and depends on the concept of taxing homes to provide all of the services we take for granted.

Murray Utah, Homes/Condos for Sale.. Unique - 02/09/08 09:40 AM
Murray, Utah has an interesting mix of Homes/Condos for sale. Interesting and unique.
For example, last week I found that of the 202 properties listed on the MLS, over 38% were Condominiums. With the exception of downtown Salt Lake City, that is by far the greatest concentration of condo living in the SL Valley.
The selection is great too. We found condos for sale any where between a low of $115,000 to a high of $232,000. Some houses started in the low $130s, but we saw one listed last week at $445,000. Maybe the broad selection is why Murray only has about a 5 months … (0 comments)

Taylorsville Ut Homes for Sale - 02/08/08 01:24 PM
 In Taylorsville Ut, there were 185 single family homes for sale. Thirty two of these are condominiums, and 11 of these houses are Bank owned or facing foreclosure. Based on the current level of home sold per month, that represents about an 11 month supply. Definitely a buyers market. Definitely a place for Condo buyers to begin their search.
During the first week of February, 4 homes actually closed (3 were Condos). Average price of the Condominiums was $120 thousand dollars, the house sold for $189,900. Not a great week for Real Estate in Taylorsville, Utah.

The sales stats for Herriman homes for sale for the 7 days ending 2/06/08, suggest that we are still experiencing a "buyers market" in that area. It doesn't look like help is on its way soon. At the current rate, the 365 Herriman homes and 19 condos listed on the Wasatch Front Multiple Listing Service (MLS) would sell out in about 10 months. Thats under normal circumstances. But times aren't normal, and some of the numbers weve analyzed make us think that there is tough sledding for sellers, GREAT OPPORTUNITIES for home buyers , and Real Estate Investors.
