  It seems there are more and more articles about this everyday.  This is the article I found this video in.  Also these two articles are discussing the "shadow inventory" and how Fannie and Freddie expect this inventory to absorbed.
I think passing this info around solely to let consumers know they have a choice is key.

I have posted a couple blogs regarding loan mod fraud.  Let me state: I am not against the banks.  I also recognize many professions participated in contributing to the state of our "business" and "economy".  Buyers signed when they shouldn't have, regardless of the reason, and they are liable for it.  Unfortunately we all have something to do with it: Lenders lent to everyone, Realtors said it would gain, loan officers capitalized, appraisers went with the flow and the market didn't do what "we" … (0 comments)

Shedding light on this subject is easier everyday, articles, stories and cases are surfacing daily. I came across this article today from Realtor magazine. "A coalition of seven public pension systems called on several of the nation's largest banks to immediately undertake independent examinations of their mortgage and foreclosure practices, including their loan modification and foreclosure and securitization procedures." You have to watch this video. Why some banks don't want to approve your loan modification and would rather you foreclose or shortsale. This is a continuation from a previous blog: There is an outcry over questionable forclosures and this issue appears to be spreading.
