We are now offering a few more investors a part in our upcoming ventures with Greenline Care in Indonesia to lease large pieces of land in order to produce carbon credits.

We have buyers lined up and need an initial $20 Million for a project generating $50 Million a year.

First come first take.

Its funny how certain trends seem to come back.  Do you remember the styles that were in place when you were younger?  I remember watching The Brady Bunch.  I didn't think much about their pants or hair style until I was older.  Now I look back and think their styles were silly.  But apparently that is just my opinion.  Having two pre-teens in the house, I see now that I am not 'cool' and don't know the latest trends.

According to my son, for the past 2 years having 'bed head' was the style.  People will actually through gel (or whatever) in their hair to make it look messy.

Personally I like short hair - if you could not tell from my picture.  I am not saying that everyone should have their hair short like mine, but I am not a fan of 'bed head'.  Now up until about 2-3 years ago, my son kept his hair pretty short (here are some first day of school pictures from a few years ago).

Since then, he has let his hair get a little longer.  I figured he would grow out of it once he realized how much work it is to maintain longer hair.  His sister would have told him if he would have asked (not that he ever had hair THAT long).

So for the past 2 years or so, he has had no ears, or at least none that I could see.  Don't get me wrong, I'll love my son no matter what hair style he is sporting.  But I've been wanting to take it off for quite some time.

I know I know.. its not that bad.  He looks a little like the Brady kids.  As a matter of fact, I was calling him Bobby for a little while.  And I realize thats THE style, its just not my styel.  Just recently, he requested a haircut.  Check him out...

Now I can see the boys face... and HE HAS EARS!!

( he told me to tell everyone he said 'HELLO' )

This may be too philosophical, but I don´t care, it´s on my mind.

Have you ever wondered why a deal won´t come thru, why a site of yours won´t rank for a certain term, why the easiest things can be so hard and some of the hardest things just happen without any hassle.

Have you ever thought about the responsibility webmasters and realtors have in the grand scheme of things?

I have.

And here is what I have concluded:

People change travel plans, go places, do things based on where the interent guides them. They are impacted by webmasters and search engine pros thruout their everyday life.

Due to what you create, people will meet randomly, people fall in love and have kids. Due to a real estate agent´s work, people move places and their kids marry their neighbors kids.

The future is impacted by what we do. If you wait too long to drive when the light is green and it turns red, you turn future events.

In certain professions, you have more of an impact. Real estate is one of those.

So next time you get frustrated and can´t figure it all out, just know that there are certain things in life we can impact, but overall it all has to fit into the big plan.

Do I make sense? I think I do. If you don´t want to think about it, don´t worry about it. Just bookmark this and revisit some other time when you can´t figure out why something didn´t go the way that you´ve planned it. ;)

Many of you are still looking at Costa Rica as the new frontier and looking at the past few years of real estate and property development, one may think you are right.
But now the mainstream real estate investment world has caught on and areas such as Tamarindo, Jaco and Quepos have seen the same boom as San Diego, California.
So should you still invest in Costa Rica?
The answer is yes.
You should.
But knowing where is the key.
You may not want to buy property at sky high prices in Malpais and Santa Teresa (even though we are still finding great deal there), but rather the surrounding areas such as
Manzanillo, Delicias and Playa Hermosa (no, not the one close to Jaco, but the one on the Nicoya Peninsula).
We have recently taken a tour and shown clients properties overlooking the ocean and some of those are going very cheap.
Properties in those areas are bound to go way up especially with the roads being paved and more and more people feeling the desire to live where you can still enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica's nature, wildlife, flora and fauna.
The best way to go is to buy a huge piece of land and file it under your own Costa Rica Corporation and then sell off bits and pieces, develop some and then
let investors or homebuyers make it pay off many times within a few months.
A great example is a huge piece of land in Montezuma which has just been presented to us.
The owner wants to sell it for $6 Million which makes the 1km by 1km piece of land a steal at only $6 per square meter.
The problem is that many of the property owners here are land rich and cash poor.
Our lawyer is currently checking up on everything before we list it for sale, which is a process many of the local owners don't want to deal with.
Driving thru some of the still rustic locations makes you feel like a true pioneer. You remember what the older folks have told you about some parts of California back in the 50s or what you're used to seeing on television from way back when.
You come to some of the overpopulated tourist spots and you feel like you're in Miami and wonder if a cheaper way of life is the only reason those people come here.
Santa Teresa is still the number 4 spot for surfing in the world with constant waves. As long as you're close to good surf, you will always have people coming and business will not go away.
Those of you who haven't come to Costa Rica yet ... you should! But please avoid the tourist hot spots.
Get in touch with some people who have lived here for a while and ask them where to go.
You will not regret it. Whether you buy a house here or just stay for 6 days. Costa Rica is an experience you DON'T want to miss out on!

Costa Rica is the place to be, and for countless reasons. You can relax, go out have fun and there is always something going on. I have lived in San Diego for 20 years and thought it was the best place on earth. Well ... it isn`t. Costa Rica and areas such as Santa Teresa and Malpais beat it. Anyday.

Costa Rica right now is what San Diego was 50 years ago when my friends grandparents bought properties cheap.

Costa Rica is on the verge to explode but right now the country is still in the beautiful and natural stage that hopefully won`t be destroyed.

I can recommend that you guys look into Costa Rica when wondering where to buy property and where there is a good investment to make. Check out these pictures of Santa Teresa and see for yourself.

We have some excellent properties right now in the surrounding areas which are still not populated. Santa teresa has surf all the time and also a great party scene. If anybody wants more info on Costa Rica, feel free to hit me up. I`ll be happy to help whoever needs something else to be convinced that indeed ... Costa Rica is his or her place to be as well. :)

I have mixed feelings when it comes to building in Costa Rica.

Why?

I have been to Tamarindo.

Tamarindo is what happens when people don't really care about anything other than making a profit.

It's becoming a concrete jungle and drugs and prostitution are rampant.

I see Costa Rica as a wonderful place and would hate to see it go down the drain due to economic seduction.

We are now in an era where green construction becomes a widely known term and one of my partners specializes in it.

As the real estate market cools off a little bit, more and more projects are coming up in the outskirts of popular vacation spot such as Playa Carmen and Santa Teresa. There is lots of vacant land that the owners are willing to sell and from what I see, that is where the future is. Not killing the charm of the land while finding ways to provide nice homes to those who seek that exact charm and peace is a challenge we are confronted with daily, but we now have a great team showing us that it is very possible.

You don't need to ax down hundreds of trees to create value for your property. You can create enough space to build a beautiful home and I urge all land owners to do just that rather than allowing themselves to be talked into levelling the property they have purchased.

Costa Rica has a bright future and I'm proud to be a part of it.

If you have any questions regarding green construction or building in Costa Rica, feel free to make a comment. Responsible building will keep the value growing. There have been plenty of bad examples of foreigners coming here with the intent to make a profit and leave, but I'm pleased to say that more and more of the incoming real estate and construction professionals are actually residents here who care about the community and will defend its rights to remain the wonderful place that most of the areas we service are.

The problem is that there are celebrities such as Leonardo di Caprio who buy property here and show absolutely no concern regarding the environment in order to get their new estates built. I will have more information on my http://www.costaricaunplugged.com/costa-rica-blog coming up about it soon. Leo is supposed to be an environmentalist, but so far he hasn't put his money where his mouth is.

Why would anybody create content for somebody else? Why would people not blog on their own sites rather than posting on someone else's network?

The answer is simply: authority.

Authority in the eyes of the readers and the search engines.

There are far too many blogs out there to create an unbiased list of what is quality and what isn't. If you're searching thru blog networks for blog posts related to what you're looking for, you're very likely going to find something of quality. Unlike privately owned weblogs, blog networks are subject to some sort of moderation, so you are not likely going to land on a page with garbage. Google knows it.

That form of moderation is to some degree helping Google do their job suggesting that the likelihood of a web searcher being satisfied with his/her search result is fairly high when landing on a blog post made on a blog network.

I have recently made a blog post on the Real Estate Webmasters Blog Network called Real Estate in Costa Rica and within 2 days it ranked number 3 for "Costa Rica Real Estate Blog" (even though for some reason it has since disappeared). On the first 2 pages you also see Active Rain, Netscape and a few other results from Blog Networks.

This is not a major keyterm, but still: Looking thru the SERPs, you can tell that Google is picky with who gets listed on the first few pages. In addition, my integrated link moved up a few pages in Google for the anchor text's keyterm. That can be a rewarding side effect if you have a page with good additional information to add for those who want to know more. However, I strongly recommend not forcing yourself into the Google results pages. Passive aggressive is the way to go.

Google should be ignored to some degree. Build the best site you can and use blog networks to get the word out about yourself. Not just for Google. Think outside of that box and realize that a lot of internet users will not use Google once they have found a site like Active Rain to rely on when it comes to finding real estate information.

Put your best foot forward and share your knowledge. Post something useful and those who want to know more about you, will follow your profile right into your site. Start a blog on your own as well, network on Netscape, Digg and other social bookmarking sites to promote your best blog entries. There are no limits to what you can do when it comes to marketing your business online.

Allow the search engines to find you thru those sites, tell visitors something new. Be unique and write without getting into too much detail. If you don't think that you're a good writer, read thru some of the stories on the networks to inspire you. What makes blogs so successful is that they allow readers to get more of a feeling for who you are than a static site.

All you have to do is be you and become known for who you are, what you do and what you believe.

Business and especially real estate is all about connecting well with the client, and forums, blog networks and blogging in general has helped tremendously in bridging the gap between computer terminals and the human beings using them more and more relying on the convenience of finding more and more information as well as services and products on the internet. Blogging is so easy. It's amazing how many people out there don't even know what a blog is. The way I explain it to them: "Blogging is like sending an email to the world".

Feel free to make a comment, give me feedback and some advice if you have it.

If you've stuck around long enough to read my whole post, thank you for your time. And good luck with your blogs. :)
