So, let's look around the million dollar mark in Seattle, specifically 900,000 to 1,200,000. Being in this price range can actually buy you a very large variety of homes!

Seattle Real Estate: Online Marketing Is Huge! - 08/27/08 11:42 AM
Seattle real estate 2008: I have seen a lot of sellers frustrated in 2008 over the changing Seattle real estate market, but there are still great buyers out there and your house can sell if properly positioned on the market! I have done Seattle selling tips before, but I wanted to touch on a few more as far as marketing your home and why you should make sure your agent is internet savvy... Seattle Real Estate: Sunset Hill Park - 08/26/08 04:10 PM
Seattle real estate: Sunset Hill Neighborhood 7531 34th Ave. NW I love Sunset Hill in Seattle! It is such a wonderful neighborhood overlooking the Puget Sound! Sunset Hill Park is a great place to walk to for Sunset Hill residents. The park was gifted to the city in 1903 and is actually 2.7 acres, but seem like it is less than half an acre because most of it is on a slope overlooking the Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Integrating the old with the new - 10 Tips on Green Living - 08/26/08 10:10 AM
Great Green tips! I love this for both living and remodeling GREEN! Via Kenzie Bond, REALTOR®: Anyone who has known me for awhile is aware of my dislike for newly constructed homes, and by new I mean anything built after the 80's! As these "McNeighborhoods" sprung up throughout Houston I was repulsed by the look -a-like homes on postage stamp lots void of any character or uniqueness. There seemed to be a contest in each subdivision on how many homes could be squeezed in one area in the shortest time. My list of reasons for disliking these homes could go on and on (3 comments)
Forget Waiting on a Short Sale: This is Worse! - 08/25/08 10:59 PM
Seattle: When Your House Won't Sell - I showed a house that has literally been sitting on the market for almost a year. It annoyed me initially that it is a vacant house and the listing agent put on there that it was occupied with the phone to show of course being her number, but what is really annoying is that she won't return my call. Deep breath because Sunday is the day of rest, right? NO! Not for me! I had a rainy Open House that still managed to get some traffic and appointments to show all afternoon and into the evening. Being in the Google Top 10 Means Nothing - 08/24/08 11:42 AM
I think this is a great post and it reminds me that it is so important to have balance in everything that we do! It doesn't matter if you are #1 and there are 3,000,000 more people behind you in the SERPs, it just doesn't mean anything at all. List Price $1.00, I Think We've Hit the Bottom - 08/16/08 07:25 PM
Wow! Check this out! I had absolutely no idea in my sheltered Seattle real estate life. $1.00 cash and $3900 in taxes until the assessment can be adjusted.... Honestly, why bother foreclosing in this instance????????? Via Tim .: A bank had to reduce a home in Detroit to $1.00 before they could find a buyer. Two years ago it sold for $65,000. No crazy financing on this one. It was an all cash deal. Homes going for $1.00 should definitely start bringing the buyers out who have been sitting on the fence. Here's the link to the story.

Moving stinks! Having your house on the market is stressful - I won't sugar coat it. It is hard to be able to live life normally when your house is for sale! That is a fact. Been there, done that... I sympathize with you while you are relocating to a new house because it is one of the most emotional and difficult times even with an extremely smooth transaction. I remember because I (3 comments)

It is so fun for all ages to watch as boats go in and out of the Locks. The sea levels are drastically different between these the Puget Sound and Lake Union, so boats heading in and out through the Ship Canal must go through the Locks in order to raise them or lower them to the appropriate level.
