Museum of Flight in Seattle - one of my top ten favorite things to do in Seattle
The Museum of Flight in Seattle is just breathtaking - from the gorgeous airplanes all suspended in the building to the actual Air Force One that Kennedy flew on to relics from various space missions there  is truly something for everyone here!

Where Can you find it?

Amorn Thai In Mountlake Terrace Setting The Bar High! - 02/20/09 03:17 PM
Amorn Thai in Mountlake Terrace - YES!  Mountlake Terrace is making hanging out in the Seattle Suburbs worth every bite!  I have long been a fan of Thai food and have frequented delicious Thai places like Penn Thai in Bothell and Chantanee in Bellevue, but Amorn Thai BLOWS THEM AWAY in my mind!  This is a tiny little Thai restaurant in the unlikely spot of Mountlake Terrace, but neighbors are thanking their lucky stars that it is here!

Where is it? 22826 56th Ave W Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043 (425) 712-9112

Cobra Help With Stimulus Package - 02/19/09 02:51 PM
COBRA help can free up housing money, too!  Along with the $8000 housing stimulus credit which just got signed, I was happy to see that there is help for families needing to continue their health coverage when their job ends. When you continue to pay for benefits to your ex-employer so that you can receive coverage it is called COBRA.  COBRA is expensive but necessary if there is a lapse in employment and you need medical insurance.
Bravo to Obama for helping these families, too!  How?  There will be a government subsidy to help pay for COBRA benefits equal to 65% according … (4 comments)

Magnolia stats in Seattle since the beginning of the year... All info provided by: Courtney Cooper, Designated Broker for Cooper Jacobs Real Estate, Seattle real estate

The Before... Pike Place in the Morning - 02/16/09 10:15 PM
These are great shots so I wanted to pass them along as well!
Via Dinah Lee Griffey Allyn, Belfair,Bank Owned,Homes & Land (Windermere Peninsula Properties):
The Morning came very quickly and the girls and I headed out to catch and early Ferry. Along the way we stopped at the Pike Place Market to grab a quick cup of coffee...This is Seattle! I thought I would grab a few photos that you do not see in every publication about the market. "The Before" It is amazing just how quickly they work to set up in the morning. So here is a few rare before … (5 comments)

Seattle REBarCamp - Thanks! - 02/15/09 11:05 PM
Seattle is a perfect place to host this!
I only got to attend the first half of the Real Estate Bar Camp in Seattle because I did have an unexpected buyers tour I needed to go on, but I had so much fun and it got me wanting to go to the Portland version in the next couple of months.  This is a great impromptu way to see what is going on inside the industry!
I met Bob!
There were so many amazing people there and I was so happy to finally get to meet people rather than rely on the … (10 comments)

You Should SERIOUSLY Check Out What Has Been Going On Over At Rain City Guide If You Get A Chance! - 02/10/09 11:54 AM
What a week over at Rain City Guide!
First, I was invited to be a Seattle real estate contributor and my inaugural post got over 50 comments and a heated debate! Then Aimee Ghimire  the Arizona Loan Guru picked my post up in her Carnival of Real Estate Post.  Zillow even picked it up!
Then ARDELL went and called THE BOTTOM to the market here and followed it up with her Sunday Night Stats!!!!!  This did not go unnoticed and was soon picked up by Aubrey Cohen at The Seattle PI both here and here.
Throw in some good Seattle mortgage info and Foreclosure … (4 comments)

Seattle Real Estate Picking Up in 2009? - 02/09/09 09:06 PM
There is still a lot of bad news out there, but...
My phone has been ringing off the hook lately in regards to Seattle real estate.  For the last few weekends I have juggled multiple clients - both buyers and sellers, but mostly buyers looking to take advantage of low rates and some great tax breaks. Buyers are out there looking strong and now might be a great time to spruce up the house a bit so that they are well received!  The houses that are really making an impression are the ones that are cleaned up and well presented, but … (1 comments)

These refer to both Queen Anne and Magnolia -
I figured I would go ahead and share some of the stats I just passed along to a client since they were of interest to me:

How many houses sold in December 2008 and January 2009?  There were 3 closed sales - all in December in area 700 in that price range.  In addition, there is one Pending listing.  This is a listing that is waiting to close.
Current inventory of available homes in market area … (0 comments)
