Seattle Real Estate: Seattle First Time Home Buyers Guide - 03/24/09 03:11 PM
Seattle still has an incredible real estate market in 2009, but....  It is different than it has been in the last ten years or so. Many first time home buyers like to ask their friends and family a lot of questions along the way and tend to rely at times on these lifelines.
Unfortunately, new Seattle buyers might find that asking all the questions in the world might not get them the right answers for this new Seattle market.  Buying a house any time is a huge task, but being a first time Seattle home buyer on top of that makes it … (4 comments)

Downtown Seattle Real Estate: More Choices Right Around The Corner - 03/16/09 11:51 AM
There are more homes in Seattle than traditional houses, condos, and townhomes, and Downtown Seattle is a great place to look.  Many people in other parts of the country would never consider living Downtown, but they don't know how different Seattle really is.  Living in city in Seattle is a great choice for so many reasons!  Downtown Seattle real estate has some wonderful condos and lofts, but also check out nearby alternatives:
Lofts - Loft living in Seattle is a thing of beauty. Pioneer Square lofts in particular has some of the most amazing lofts - old one hundred year old buildings that have … (1 comments)

Fremont Bridge Closed Tomorrow! - 03/14/09 07:53 PM
Just a quick reminder for those of you in Seattle:   The Fremont Bridge in the Seattle neighborhood of Fremont will be closed tomorrow form about 2:30 AM to 6 AM in order for repairs to be made.   There is a damaged center lock and crews will be repairing it in the early hours of the morning.  This is the part that holds the two giant portions that open down when we are driving on it so fixing it is a good thing.
Another note: The city will actually be providing shuttle service if needed for pedestrians and bicyclists during the repair … (1 comments)

ActiveRain ReBlog Gets A FaceLift - Time To Incorporate It - 03/13/09 01:44 PM
Love the new Re-Blog button.  Check it out here!
Via Brad Andersohn ~ Community Builder (ActiveRain):
I'll be the first to admit, I didn't really like the previous ReBlog graphic/icon as I felt it was too big.  It moved my text around making my posts look funny, and it was completely useless for me as the author of my Blog.  The value seemed to only be for the ReBlogger.  I know there are still mixed opinions about "ReBlogging" and the value of it, so like "open houses" I'll let that controversy continue onward and upward, but not here.
You'll notice this morning that … (1 comments)

Sunset Hill Park In Ballard - 03/12/09 10:04 PM

Seattle real estate: Sunset Hill Park in Ballard
7531 34th Ave. NW
Ballard is amazing and I absolutely adore Sunset Hill Park in this neighborhood of in Seattle! It is such a wonderful part of Ballard overlooking the Puget Sound! Sunset Hill Park is a great place to walk to for Sunset Hill and other Ballard residents. The park was gifted to the city in 1903 and is actually 2.7 acres, but seem like it is less than half an acre because most of it is on a slope overlooking the Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Putting Your Feet In Their Shoes... - 03/12/09 01:34 PM

Sensitivity Training: Real estate agents and brokers should move every few years in order to understand who they are providing customer service to.  As an agent you absolutely have to put yourself in the client's shoes in order to provide for all their needs. There are agents out there who don't even own real estate and that baffles me because I just have no understanding of how they can possibly "sell" something they themselves are not investing in. Obviously if they are newer and building up their business that is a logical exception, but there are some very successful real … (0 comments)

When The Heck Did My Hairdresser Get An Economics Degree? - 03/09/09 12:08 AM
I honestly believe that many of the problems in our Economy today stem from the viral effect of the way we feel. Each and every one of us have the power to influence the economy and people's lives depending on what we are doing and what we are communicating to people.  Preaching doom and gloom and complaining is extremely viral and very contagious.  Unfortunately many of us out there pounding the streets with buyers and helping people sell their house successfully are not communicating enough while less qualified individuals are spreading the fear.
I love my hairdresser - she is not only … (3 comments)

How to Get A Down Payment Today: Creativity Pays Off! - 03/03/09 02:44 PM

Seattle real estate:  Need a Down payment?  Yes!  Getting creative in a tighter economy: Love new ideas!  I found a wonderful site today that specializes in a perfect gift registry, but not the traditional types - For events, weddings and more, participants can register to have people help them with their home improvement projects or even help contribute towards their down payment for a house with contributions starting as little as $10 each.
The site is very classy and set up just perfectly!  There is no advertising on the site to distract  and it has a very small fee for … (1 comments)
