Ballard Is Losing Archie:( - 04/29/09 09:11 PM
The squirrel is packing up his underpants and moving to Wallingford... June 2009 is the move date for Archie McPhee - the amazing novelty/gift/toy store that has been a staple in Ballard for the last ten years and around for 25 years! Archie McPhee has played a huge part in my children's lives and we don't know what we would do without the Archie staples like bacon strip bandaids and mini Dr. Pepper cans. MY two year old loves his collection of devil ducks, and my teenager never tires of going to her favorite store. Archie McPhee has something for everyone! We love

First Time Home Buyer Guide For Seattle - 04/29/09 08:22 PM
Thinking About Buying in 2009? It is different than it has been in the last ten years or so. Many first time home buyers like to ask their friends and family a lot of questions along the way and tend to rely at times on these lifelines. It is great to have this kind of support, but make sure and get a professional as well. Unfortunately, new Seattle buyers might find that asking questions might not get them the correct answers for the current Seattle market. Buying a house any time is a huge task, but being a first time Seattle home buyer

Wallingford Living: Seattle's Wallingford Neighborhood is One Of My Very Favorites - 04/26/09 12:06 PM
The Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle is about the most perfect neighborhood I can imagine. It is definitely in my top ten for Seattle neighborhoods! It is just West of I5 and North of Lake Union. The schools are amazing here and the parks are just beautiful. Only a little over a mile South of the main intersection of Wallingford Ave and 45th (Wallingford QFC is there) is Gas Works Park, too. Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood is also a quick jump to Green Lake or Highway 99 for other commuting options. It is in a great location for University of Washington commuting

Downtown Seattle Summer: I Can Almost Taste It Already! - 04/17/09 09:25 PM
Today was gorgeous and it got me thinking... Downtown Seattle is so amazing, but the Seattle waterfront in particular is where dreams come alive in summer time! The colors are so vivid and the sun is warm with a slight cool breeze and salty smell coming off the Puget Sound. It is worth a trip here just to check it out, but living in Downtown Seattle condos or lofts would be just ideal! Here are some of my summer shots so you can take a peek at what's to come! All

The new Making Home Affordable Program... It could really help many homeowners who might not otherwise qualify for help. Making Home Affordable aka Stay in your house and make it cheaper! I Just Met The Nicest Rainmaker - 04/14/09 09:46 AM
Rainmaking with Jim Cheney I took a little time yesterday and looked through some of the new members and found a really wonderful new Active Rain member with over 40 posts and over 15,000 points since last month. I wanted to formally introduce him here because he also has a shiny new Rainmaker account. All forty something of those posts now have the ability to be indexed by Google so that the consumer can see them and benefit from Jim's hyper local knowledge of his market. Check out his latest if you get the chance and make sure and welcome him

Sewer line inspections can be your insurance to prevent future headaches! (Day 21) - 04/04/09 10:00 PM
Very cool info! Via Kristal Kraft ~Denver Real Estate~303-589-2022 (The Berkshire Group Realtors): Sewage Lines 100 Real Estate & Relocation Tips in 100 Days Admittedly not the most romantic part of any home, sewer lines exiting the house to either the public sewage system or a private leeching field are unavoidably important, and must be given consideration during the due diligence process. Properties located away from public sewage systems will have a leeching field and underground storage tank. Make sure your purchase agreement includes a tank clean out to be completed by the current owners before you take title. If the home is

Broadview in Seattle - Nice Couple and Great House! - 04/04/09 04:36 PM
Seattle Sale in Broadview! I recently had a really great experience with some wonderful Seattle real estate clients I have been looking with for a while now. They found me on the internet and had been through the ringer with other agents prior to checking me out on my blog here. Clients that find you on the internet generally need a bit more from you in the form of hand holding because they don't know you or trust you in most cases. The only exception to that is if they have been reading your blog posts - this is why blogging
