seattle built green: Seattle: Are You Really Going Green or Posing as Built Green to Get Buyers - 05/06/08 09:22 AM
I love Green Seattle! I love Built Green, going green, green living, eco living, etc. - you name it, I love it! I am even working on my ECO Broker designation, but I have a seen a few things lately that aren't so green. Green Built in Seattle is a great concept and we should all be thinking about living a little or a lot more green. I recently wrote about a development claiming to be a Built Green in Seattle Suburbs. This development even changed their entry sign to say they were "built green". I saw only one aspect of

Return on Your Investment? Yes! Green for green! Seattle Built Green properties are popping up all over the place in the new construction arena. I think a great way to add value to your house before you decide to sell is to make sure that any remodels done are certified by this program as being green and better for the environment! It will add to your ability to market your home to all the savvy buyers out there looking for these types of properties, and it will be contributing to making Seattle real estate more green! Want info on Green Seattle

seattle built green: Seattle Real Estate: Going Green with Solar Electricity - 02/28/08 03:11 PM
Seattle real estate is more exciting when it is going green! Built Green houses and condos get more excitement and activity when they are on the market because buyers want homes that are environmentally friendly. You can be certified as Built Green even if you are in a preexisting property based on some simple guidelines for a Built Green Remodel. One great way to go green in Seattle real estate is to incorporate solar power! The City of Seattle website has a whole page on green resources, but the solar power info was particularly intriguing. Here is what it says: "Seattle City Light Net

seattle built green: Seattle Real Estate & Remodeling: My Favorite Floor Guy..For Remodels or New Construction - 02/26/08 12:00 AM
Seattle remodeling can give you a lot of choices to consider, and flooring choices are always exciting! My favorite floor guy in Seattle is Mac's Wholesale. Mac offers some amazing choices - and tons of environmentally friendly options! Bamboos in every color imaginable and really cool Cork flooring! Mac can tell you how to do it yourself or he can have one of his teams install it for you. Mac also is great at finding quality carpets and having them installed inexpensively. I recommend Mac's Wholesale Flooring to EVERYONE who asks about putting in new floors and he always makes them

seattle built green: Seattle Real Estate: Remodeling Green to Bring in The BIG Bucks - 02/11/08 03:15 PM
Seattle real estate is big on building green right now and I am thrilled for it! I love taking buyers out and having them ooo and awe over the finish work that goes into a Built Green home. Most of the time these environmentally conscience builders are so detail oriented that it really shows in the final product! What about when a Seattle seller decides to remodel their existing home to incorporate some of these amazing new earth friendly and efficient, but sometimes expensive products? Of course the home will become more efficient and cheaper to operate while having a lesser impact

seattle built green: Seattle Real Estate: Looking For New Green Built Homes? - 02/11/08 01:50 PM
Seattle real estate is on the move as far as "Built Green" goes! If a Seattle buyer wants a home that is environmentally friendly and efficient, then there are fortunately options in both the Seattle townhouse 2008 market and also single family houses. It seems as if builders are really starting to understand what modern savvy buyers want and the real estate available is beginning to reflect this. Building green is more than just using energy efficient appliances! It is even more than Bamboo flooring or highly efficient windows. There are dual flush toilets, low toxin paints, recycled glass and tiles, plus

seattle built green: Seattle Real Estate: Building Green Townhouses... - 02/09/08 11:43 PM
Seattle has a ton of new "built green" new construction real estate properties - including some beautiful townhouses I got the pleasure of touring a few more this last week when I took some buyers through Ballard, Greenwood, Beacon Hill, and even the new development Rainier Vista in Columbia City. I am so impressed with some builders and their willingness to put in such a great renewable resource like Bamboo floors! I personally put Bamboo flooring into my house three years ago and I have been so impressed with its performance! It comes in many colors, shades, and finishes and fits
