Is There Financing Available For A Non-Owner Occupied Seattle Floating Home? This was one of the latest round of questions I got on Seattle houseboats and the process of purchasing a houseboat.
The answer is: (wait for it) Sometimes. According to one Seattle floating home lender, it is:
"Only by exception approval can it be non owner occupied. The guidelines and rates I quoted are for primary / second homes only."

There is one other that happens to be cheaper, but it isn't set up like this one - to be as affordable as this!!! Owned moorage for the house which is more secure than leased. Dues are extremely LOW - lower than the rent on most leased docks. Taxes and insurance are ridiculously low, too. Make an offer and dip your toes in the lake!
