Ballard has so many fun things to do - I love the restaurants (The Hi Life and Thai ku are at the top of my list right now), and I have a passion for the Ballard Locks - I consider it the must see stop for anyone coming in town and even in the dreary winter days, it makes for a great walk!

The Ballard Locks...

One of my favorite things to do with my kids and to beat the heat of summertime is to hang out at the Ballard Locks and check out all the gorgeous boats!  I always tote my camera along and somehow never tire of the endless pictures I get. I wanted to share some here.
Lake Union is higher than the Puget Sound so in order for boats to travel back and forth between the two bodies of water, they enter into the locks and then giant walls on the East and West sides close.  The water … (9 comments)

I love Sunset Hill in Seattle!  It is such a wonderful neighborhood overlooking the Puget Sound!  Sunset Hill Park is a great place to walk to for Sunset Hill residents.  The park was gifted to the city in 1903 and is actually 2.7 acres, but seem like it is less than half an acre because most of it is on a slope overlooking the Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Sunset Hill is one of the best Ballard neighborhoods!  I lived in Sunset Hill many years ago and I can tell you that one of the highlights of living in this wonderful Ballard neighborhood was my trips to Rain City Video!  The Sunset Hill location is right on the corner of 65th and 32nd in the heart of "commercial" Sunset Hill. 
The movies were always organized in a way that made just about every one of them seem interesting and I was always able to find a great film.  I miss this movie rental place and haven't … (0 comments)

AAAAH...Sunset Hill living... I lived in Sunset Hill many years ago and I can tell you that one of the highlights of living in this wonderful Ballard neighborhood was my trips to Rain City Video!  The Sunset Hill location is right on the corner of 65th and 32nd in the heart of "commercial" Sunset Hill.
