adaptation: Something in the air feels different … - 09/07/12 10:08 PM
Something in the air feels different and I can’t quite put my finger on it.
I am NOT talking about a change in the weather. I sense something more along the lines in a paradigm shift in the way that we live and work, and our expectations for life itself.
And I am also NOT talking about politics or the upcoming election. What I am experiencing has me a bit on edge and somewhat apprehensive.
Something is brewing, and I ‘m not certain if it will taste sweet or bitter. But change is in the air and I am NOT one … (13 comments)

adaptation: When the “unusual” becomes “normal” you adapt to the change! - 02/10/11 12:08 AM

We woke up again this morning to a smattering of snow here in Newnan Georgia. In years past this would have been a major event.
Snowfall of ANY amount is unusual in this part of Georgia and historically is extremely rare is usually considered a treat and a cause for celebration.
This year, however, we have had more than our fill of the white stuff and we are eager to get on with our lives. Snow is no longer thought of as an anomaly but has moved into the realm of “normalcy!”

adaptation: Everything that we’ve done up until now is just water over the dam. - 05/21/10 12:07 AM
The real estate business typically can be very cyclical, with very busy periods followed by lulls in activity that might encourage taking a ‘breather” every now and then.
It’s easy to rest on our collective laurels, immersed in the satisfaction that results from a job well done and its accompanying compensation.

Change our point of view. Use our imagination. Implement new systems. All of the above!  And although euphemisms and clichés abound to describe the phenomenon of creative adaptation, I shall refrain from using them. It isn't … (13 comments)

adaptation: There is a garden of earthly delights....and it takes a lot of work to maintain it! - 09/06/08 05:01 PM
Gardens are not as complex as one might expect. In truth, a garden is just a controlled growing environment for plants. The gardener controls the types of plants growing in the garden and the location and manner in which they are displayed.
In addition, the gardener must control the intrusions of unwanted plants. The definition of a weed is merely a plant that grows where you don't want it to grow, and any plant can be considered a weed by growing in an undesirable area of the garden. It's not the plant itself, as a matter of fact,  some weedy plants … (21 comments)
