Cape Coral - Fort Myers Housing Market Report - 10/22/08 12:30 PM
Here are the latest numbers for the Cape Coral Fort Myers housing market.  These reports give Median Price and one year price growth.  They show the local outlook and affordability.  They also show recent trends for sale and foreclosures.
Our market here has turned in the sense that we are eating up inventory.  We have gone from 32 months of inventory down to 4.  There are however, still 2700 homes hitting the courthouse each month going into foreclosure.  The good news is that as soon as they come on the market the properties are moving.

Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.
