local traffic: Question on uploading pics

Hello! I am fairly new here but love it! Can't get enough here. I read more than post but spend time here every day.
Any how, I have a son in basketball and volunteered to take pictures for each game. I want to put them on line so that parents can look at the pics and download them if they like. I know I can use a free service like 'photobucket' but I was wondering if there is a way to post them to my blog so I am also bring potential clients to my sight?
