If you are relocating to the area and have children, education is a high priority. Unfortunately, this area is not known for having the best schools. However if you do your research, you will find there are good schools in Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan Counties. The determination of what makes a school good will depend on individual preferences. I have heard a bunch of praise for a school that another group of people said was horrible. Internet research should be the first step in school determination. If you are moving to the area or just changing areas, here is a little help for those with children. Although the school year just ended, it is never to early to start thinking about the next year. This is especially true if you are moving. The 2007-2008 school year will begin September 4th, 2007. This has changed from last year, so you may want to make a note of it.
