Lately, I have been doing a lot of Paint Color Consultations for my clients. Perhaps the thought of friends and family coming into their homes is a motivating factor this time of the year.  For whatever reason, having a professional help with paint color selection is a wonderful way to ensure a sense of design continuity in a home.

interior redesign: Is staging the same as decorating? - 05/17/09 02:03 AM
I recently responded to another stagers blog about the difference between staging and decorating and it made me think that I wanted to blog on the subject from a design background.  First of all, yes, staging and decorating are different.  The whole purpose is so different that the whole approach and outcome of the design would have to be. 
In comes the habit!  I say it...."decorating, decorating, decorating"  ahhhhhhh!  
Because I come from a design background, it is hard for me to not interchange the terms, but I am really trying to watch it.  Sometimes my peers will catch me saying it, and will say, "staging … (15 comments)

Home Staging worked for this house! 
What a beautiful home and what a fun project this was!  Crowfield Plantation is a very nice, large neighborhood in Goose Creek, SC, a suburb of Charleston area and this house had an awesome floor plan. 

My clients had already moved to a different house and to save them money, we moved a lot of their existing furniture BACK into the house! Since they did not have any kids, they did not mind at all and they actually wanted to because it would save them a lot of money.  They were excellent to work with.
