Raleigh's home prices stay strong - 08/27/08 12:06 PM
The following article appeared in the Triangle Business Journal recently: Raleigh's home prices stay strong Triangle Business Journal

Home prices grew by 4.8 percent in the Raleigh area between the second quarter of 2007 and the second quarter of this year, new federal data say.
The figures, from the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, tend to overstate the actual growth in home prices across the country. But they are useful on a comparative level, and by that measure, they place the Raleigh-Cary region at No. 13 among the nearly 300 areas tracked in terms of home price appreciation.

Will the GPhone Revolutionize the Cell Phone Industry? - 08/22/08 03:36 PM
OK, this is very cool but, at the same time, as some people have suggested, kind of scary.
I'm talking about Google's soon to be released Android open free mobile platform.
I'm not buying in to the whole big brother thing about Google. Personally, I think they're doing a great job. Gmail is arguably the best web based email program available today. Google Documents rivals Microsoft Office's anyday, and their search engine is so good, the term "Googling" made it as an entry in the dictionary.
Android is coming very soon. It's going to revolutionize the cell phone industry. Rumor has … (5 comments)

Michael Phelps.....Yeah he's OK.
The Chinese girl's gymnastics team.....Sure, they're great. But not without controversy.
Shawn Johnson, Lebron James, Tyson Gay........Yawn, yawn, yawn!!!
This year, at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, the one to watch is Craig Rutman, the USA's weightlifting phenom.
At a whopping 150 pounds (fully clothed, dripping wet!) and standing not much taller than most 12 year olds at 5 feet - 6-1/2", Craig has risen to heights most people only dream about. He's not just a Realtor, he's America's greatest hope for success in Beijing!
Follow Craig's quest for Gold as he joins some of the World's … (9 comments)

Donald Trump Speaks About the Housing Market - 08/12/08 10:01 PM

This morning on Good Morning America, a show I never watch, but just happened to come across while channel surfing, Donald Trump spoke out on the current state of the housing market.
Without getting into personalities, or whether or not you like him, when "The Donald" speaks about Real Estate, he probably has something relevant to say.
In this particular interview Mr. Trump spent much time letting the public know that NOW is the time to make a home purchase.
"If you want to buy a house there's probably never been a better time," the real estate mogul said.  "It's … (35 comments)
