September 26, 1914 – January 23, 2011 Jack LaLanne, the "Godfather of Fitness", died the other day from complications related to pneumonia. He was 96 years old. A fixture in American culture, LaLanne opened his first fitness center in 1936 and practiced what he preached. It is reported that he worked out daily until his health wouldn't permit it. Many times out of town buyers, and some local buyers too, will have unrealistic expectations when moving to a new location. Here in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area, when buyers fly in for the first time, they'll look out their plane's window and see a lot of trees. This is partly because one of North Carolina's mottos is "Mean About Green". We like our trees and, even though there is still a tremendous amount of growth taking place here, we want to keep as many of them as possible.
