Yesterday, as much of the east coast was being pummeled by a wintery blast, the Raleigh, North Carolina area received our share of the white stuff too!
On the average, the Triangle area (Raleigh/ Durham/ Chapel Hill), gets about 7 inches of snow annually. Typically we'll get two or three inches a couple of times during the month of January and come February, we'll start to see buds on the trees sprouting and the crocus beginning to peek their way out of the ground. And, by March, we're seeing 70 degree days.

schools: Ho Hum...Yet Another Award for Raleigh and Cary North Carolina! - 12/30/08 05:35 PM

I was born and raised in New York City. But all too often, I find myself bragging about my new hometown of Apex, North Carolina. It's pretty easy to do so as Apex has been named numerous times as one of the best small towns in the country to live, work and raise a family. The schools are wonderful, the weather is great, there's great access to the Research Triangle Park, downtown Raleigh and all the shopping you could ever do.

Apex, North Carolina is a great little town! There are so many things to do here for people of all ages.
Business North Carolina magazine voted Apex as the Best Small Town In North Carolina and CNN/ Money magazine voted Apex #14 in its 100 Best Place in America to live, work and raise a family!
Those are honors we share with pride as we stroll down Salem Street or attend one of Apex's many family friendly events.

Slightly less than 7 years ago I moved from Long Island, NY to the little town of Apex, NC.
 

 
Apex is a small suburb of Raleigh and is located in the southwest portion of Wake County, adjacent to Cary.
Raleigh, Cary AND Apex have all won numerous accolades from CNN, Money magazine and Forbes (as well as others) for their charm, affordability, school system and, well, for just being a great place to live, prosper and raise a family!
