Google Pagerank drops due to possible blogging. - 10/28/07 08:28 PM
It appears google has throw us for a loop again. My Google pagerank (PR) for my website has dropped from 3 to 2 already down from 4 previously this year.
Although PR may not have a direct influence on traffic to your site it does affect how you could possibly show up in search engine.
Well from what I have just researched it appears blogging may be the culprit. No sure why but if anyone else has more information on this I would love to hear about it.

Mandatory sprinkler systems in all homes - What do you think? - 10/25/07 01:50 PM
Passed in October 2006 all new homes in Frederick County Maryland are required to have a sprinkler system installed. I agree that residential properties such townhouses and condos should have them because you never know about your irresponsible neighbor that may be carelessly smoking or rewired his home on his own.
What about single family homes where no other homes are nearby and on well water. This is just another large cost that is making homes less affordable for everyone in the area. Here is a snapshot of the current housing market in Berkeley County West Virginia.
As of the 10/24/07 there are 1808 current residential active and under contract listings in Berkeley County. Currently 180 of these total homes are under contract which equates to 9.9% of the total currently listed homes.
The breakdown of the price ranges looks as follows:
$100K and under- 33 Homes  $100+ - 150K- 173$150+ - 200K- 515 $200+ - 250K- 387 $250+ - 300K- 312 $300+ - 350K- 169$350+ - 400K- 107$400+ - 500K- 59$500K+ - 53Of the 1808 active listings, 431 have been on the market 180+ days and 558 total at 90-179 days. This equates to over half of the listings that have been … (0 comments)

Charles Town is located Jefferson County which is the eastern most county of the West Virginia panhandle. The city is named after Charles Washington, the founder, and youngest full brother of George Washington. The estimate population in 2006 was around 3900.

Homes sales down 8 percent in September! - 10/24/07 11:42 AM
I just saw that NAR reported home sales were down 8 percent in September. This marked the 13th time in 14th months that home sale prices fell from the same time the previous year. With the holidays and winters months ahead I can only predict this will even worsen.
The regions suffering the worst was the northeast down 10% (my neck of the woods), the west 9.9%, midwest 7% and South 6%.
I'm sure the Fed's will making another rate cut as most experts agree to help pull us out of the downward housing market.

As of the 10/11/07 there are 91 current residential active listings in Brunswick. Currently 13 of these 91 homes are under contract which equates to 14.3% of the total currently listed homes.
The breakdown of the price ranges looks as follows:

It's important to make your listings stand out on Craigslist. I see many with just a plain paragraph of words mumbled together. Fortunately there is a solution and you don't have to be a expert in HTML programming to do it.
Here are just some simple HTML tags to enhance your listings.

FHA bans gift program - 10/03/07 05:15 PM
Not sure if anyone has written on this but, FHA plans to do away with their gift program. I currently has a listing under contract in which the sellers are giving this 3% gift money. The loan officer says we are okay since we are already approved for it. I hope so!
The Federal Housing Administration will prohibit borrowers from using seller-financed down payment assistance programs that have helped hundreds of thousands of people buy homes but have come under the scrutiny of federal authorities.
