Lexington SC Real Estate Taxes are not going up (at least for the school portion) according to a recent article in the Lexington Chronicle.  The Lexington 1 District proposed a budget for 2009-2010 that included cutting up to 39 jobs and using reserve funds to balance the new 171.5 million dollar plan.  According to the article the district absorbed about 8 million in revenue cuts for the current budget.  The budget must still have several readings before approval.  Some are concerned about how this will effect class sizes and other … (0 comments)
