Lexington offering incentives to development – Lexington SC town leaders are offering more incentives to encourage residential development in the town. Town Council is considering a request to temporarily suspend a 10% surcharge on capital contribution certificates that have not been pre-paid. The new policy will be effective through November 30 on residential projects only. To qualify, developers with a current sanitary sewer agreement must pay for a minimum of $100,000 in capital contributions certificates (about 40). The waiver could save at least $10,000.
