Lexington County Administrator heads to Spartanburg job – Lexington County administrator Katherine Hubbard has been named to the same position in Spartanburg County. Spartanburg County Council approved hiring Hubbard as that county’s new administrator on Monday. She will begin work there Jan. 1. Hubbard has served as the county’s administrator since 2006 and was the county’s first administrator. She will be the first female administrator for Spartanburg County, too. Lake Murray Association to meet – The Lake Murray Association will hold its quarterly membership meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 29. The organization’s Newberry County Meeting will be held at Macedonia Lutheran Church at 49 Macedonia Church Road on the Lake Murray shoreline near Prosperity. It will begin at 6:30p.m. The meeting will feature a safe boating video produced by the National Safe Boating Council, and Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster will be on hand to answer questions related to law enforcement on Lake Murray. Hot dogs and drinks will be served.
