Are you an organ donor? - 06/30/08 10:18 AM
We had a benefit at my church this weekend to help a family who is going through a very difficult time. This gentlemen is recovering from a double lung transplant and they were sharing what a difficult ordeal it is when you receive an organ from another person. Now he is facing having to go through a kidney transplant because his kidneys have failed.
They were explaining the importance of being an organ donor and how there are so many people out there that are waiting to receive organs that are vital for them to continue life. We never really (2 comments)
Are the gas prices keeping you at home? - 06/30/08 10:07 AM
You are constantly hearing about the rising gas prices and how it is affecting everyone concerning vacation, etc. I can honestly say that even though the cost of fuel is at a record high, it has not slowed my husband and I down at all! It seems like we are on the go more now than ever!
I'm just curious...how are the gas prices affecting you and your family? Are you cutting out normal day to day activities? Have you cancelled any vacation plans or are you just continuing life as normal?

Dealing With A Busy Lifestyle - 06/26/08 02:52 PM
I think most of us these days are way too busy! It's really easy to be overcome and weighed down by a hectic, busy lifestyle. I know in just my life I juggle 2 jobs, trying to take care of my home, trying to be a good wife, all the involvement with my church, staying connected with my family and enjoying hobbies. Sometimes I just get so tired and feel like my life is spinning out of control! It is one of my greatest priorities to maintain a positive and cheerful attitude in the midst of everything and sometimes it gets (6 comments)
Change the Atmosphere Around You - 06/26/08 02:13 PM
We all are faced with people every day that are going through difficult times and are just having a bad day. We don't always know what others are facing and a lot of times we get offended by their bad attitudes. Instead of adding to the frustration and stress that is already present, realize that they may be going through something that is really weighing them down. You can turn the situation around with your kindness and encouragement. We all need encouragement from time to time. Don't spend the rest of the day talking to others about them...help them to have (0 comments)
How You See Yourself Determines Your Success - 06/26/08 02:04 PM
Most of the time we are our worst critic! Many people expect perfection out of themselves and when they fall short of their expectations or the expectations of others they feel discouraged and refuse to keep trying. They determine in their mind that they are a failure and therefore never complete the task/tasks that are ahead of them. They accept defeat instead of pressing on to become a success. Your failures help you to grow and to realize things in your life that you may need to work on in order to become a success. If you quit instead of allowing yourself (0 comments)
Asthma - 06/26/08 01:41 PM
Just wondering if anyone else has been having more problems than usual with asthma? I normally just take a pill every day and I have no problems at all, but for about the past week or two I have been having to use my rescue inhaler quite often and I seem to stay short of breath alot! Does anyone have any tips that may help with that?
Thanks!! Angie - Admin (1 comments)
What Kind of Day Will You Have...The Choice Is Yours! - 06/26/08 01:38 PM
Each morning when we wake up we decide what kind of day we will have. If we wake up in a bad mood and continue to think on all the negative thoughts that are flooding our mind, we can be assured that we will have a horrible day. However, instead of continuing to rehearse these thoughts over and over, make a conscious effort to think about good things. Life is so full of blessings and so often we overlook the blessings that are all around us. As humans it is our nature to focus on everything that is going wrong, but (8 comments)
Can we survive the hipe? - 06/24/08 05:04 PM
"IS the american dream alive?" This is one of the headlines on the AOL homepage. Along with " * When Will Your Housing Market Recover? Good Question * North Carolina Senator Defaults on Home * Cities Fight Foreclosures With Unusual Tactics * Some Buy New Homes to Bail on Old Ones". Just to name a few... This is a hot topic all over the country and growing. Surveys are plastered in most of the major search engines on the doom and gloom of today's market. I have seen many reasons of why the country in is this "recession". Some have (1 comments)

BLOGGERS BEWARE: LAWSUITS INCREASE?? - 06/20/08 08:04 PM
This article was brought to my attention and thought I would share. These seem to be coming up in many websites. This was found on Realtor.org Be very careful! Daily Real Estate News | June 13, 2008 Bloggers Beware: Lawsuits Increase Blogging about real estate may seem like an inexpensive way to reinforce your expertise. But if you're hit with a lawsuit, the costs can quickly add up. Miami real estate practitioner Lucas Lechuga was sued for $25 million by a developer who claimed he had been defamed when Lechuga wrote in his blog that the developer had gone bankrupt decades ago. fifty dollars is fifty dollars - 06/17/08 10:11 AM
Enjoy!! Morris and his wife Esther went to the state fair every year, and every year Morris would say, 'Esther,I'd like to ride in that helicopter.' Esther always replied, 'I know Morris, but that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars' One year Esther and Morris went to the fair, and Morris said, 'Esther, I'm 85 years old. If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance.' To this, Esther replied, 'Morris that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.'
