I had the great pleasure of visiting a beautiful little college in the college town of Northampton Massachusetts today.  You see I was dropping off one of my girls to spend the next two years studying Physiology.  I had not had the pleasure of visiting it before, as my daughter was a transfer student from Boston University.

Short Sale is not a fad name.  It has been here and active for several years now.  And no, it will not be going away anytime soon!  So buyer agents please get educated! 
I work actively with both buyers and sellers of short sales.  I know this is a very confusing segment of the real estate market, and it is always changing, but it is important to keep up this the changes in this segment of the Real Estate Market.

Tax Free Weekend in Massachusetts

Massachusetts state sales tax is 6.25% currently.  In the past couple of years, Massachusetts has declared a tax free day, or tax free weekend.  During this period of time all purchases under $2500 are free of the sales tax.  This year (2010) the weekend of August 14 and August 15 is the tax free weekend.  This is a great time to go out and make your big purchases.  Nice time to buy the flat screen TV, new appliances, or some other electronic gadget.

What a great experience at the Thai House Restaurant.  A friend of mine asked me to lunch to celebrate our birthdays.  She suggested the Thai House Restaurant in East Brookfield.  I agreed with reluctance as I have never had Thai food.

The Black and White Grill, located at 206 North Spencer Road, Spencer, Ma recently opened it's doors.  This restaurant had been around for years, but closed it's doors last year. For those of you who are familiar this the restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Sunday morning I was sitting drinking my coffee and reading the paper when my phone rang at 9:10 am.  On the other end of the phone was a very flustered woman, who is a client and now a friend.  She owns a very beautiful but very unique property that we have been trying to sell for sometime.
