I had the great pleasure of visiting a beautiful little college in the college town of Northampton Massachusetts today. You see I was dropping off one of my girls to spend the next two years studying Physiology. I had not had the pleasure of visiting it before, as my daughter was a transfer student from Boston University. The day started with registration in the gym. It was very organized and non stressfull. We then drove to her dorm to deliver her personal belongings. Her dorm was in the area called the quad. (0 comments)
I am a Proud Realtor. Not all licensed Real Estate agents are Realtors. "Why is this important you," you may ask? The answer is-Realtors take an oath to abide by the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the National Association of Realtors. This little report is specifically related to Article 11 of the code. Article 11 falls under Duties to the Public. This article is lengthy and complicated so I will just refer to the portion that is pertinent to this report. "Realtors shall not undertake to provide (6 comments)
Short Sale is not a fad name. It has been here and active for several years now. And no, it will not be going away anytime soon! So buyer agents please get educated! I work actively with both buyers and sellers of short sales. I know this is a very confusing segment of the real estate market, and it is always changing, but it is important to keep up this the changes in this segment of the Real Estate Market. I currently have a listing that I have advertised as a Pre Approved short sale. This (6 comments)
Massachusetts state sales tax is 6.25% currently. In the past couple of years, Massachusetts has declared a tax free day, or tax free weekend. During this period of time all purchases under $2500 are free of the sales tax. This year (2010) the weekend of August 14 and August 15 is the tax free weekend. This is a great time to go out and make your big purchases. Nice time to buy the flat screen TV, new appliances, or some other electronic gadget. So what are things looking like? In years past there have been (2 comments)

Thai House Restaurant 355 East Main St East Brookfield, Ma 01515
What a great experience at the Thai House Restaurant. A friend of mine asked me to lunch to celebrate our birthdays. She suggested the Thai House Restaurant in East Brookfield. I agreed with reluctance as I have never had Thai food.
I pulled up to the restaurant, and realized that this was the location of the old Peg's Place. A pleasant surprise was that the only resemblance of Peg's place was (4 comments)
The Black and White Grill, located at 206 North Spencer Road, Spencer, Ma recently opened it's doors. This restaurant had been around for years, but closed it's doors last year. For those of you who are familiar this the restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Although the building has had some minor changes inside and out, it still resembles the old Black and White. Even some of the wait staff was familiar. The new Spencer restaurant owners have gone with the Black and White theme, freshening the exterior appearance (3 comments)

I was sitting with one of my agents the other day discussing lead generation ideas. She was expressing her fear of the market, and how it appears to have slowed down. She told me she goes into panic if her phone doesn't ring every day. I told her I recently went to a training seminar with trainer Tom Ferry, and he had indicated that every agent should have 9 lead generating activities that they do on a regular basis. She looked a bit perplexed so we started to discuss some (6 comments)
Sunday morning I was sitting drinking my coffee and reading the paper when my phone rang at 9:10 am. On the other end of the phone was a very flustered woman, who is a client and now a friend. She owns a very beautiful but very unique property that we have been trying to sell for sometime. I am her 2nd agent, although the one she has stuck with through thick and thin. Yes we met because her listing had expired.
Anyway, my client was almost in tears. It was 9:10 on (13 comments)
