Recently we were doing a staging project on a home that had beautiful vinyl flooring in the kitchen - but the sheen in the center of the floor was dull and made the flooring appear old and tired.  When viewed from the adjoining dining room a buyer would assume the vinyl must be replaced.  We used Rejuvenate on the floor and it did live up to it's advertising claims!

The floors are as shiny as new!  The floor was thoroughly cleaned before using and two coats were applied.  The entry for this home was a slate that was dull and … (32 comments)

Doesn't this home look lovely? We certainly think so.  It's in a good neighborhood and marketed well -- so when we met with the owners to discuss staging, the first floor gave us the impression it would be a fun and easy project!  Great architecture to highlight -- hoorah!
The first floor was lovely -- then we headed to the basement.  The realtor advised us that at open houses people actually gasped when they went down the stairs . . . it was a surprise as the open staircase revealed . . . an open room with a jacuzzi tub.

The sun's out in Oregon - and we love to take every advantage of it!  We have been visiting one of our favorite vacation spots in Oregon - Eagle Crest in Redmond, Oregon.  My husband and daughter decided to catch some rays and work on their "tans" this morning after getting out of the hot tub!

(Yes -- that really is 6"+ of snow that had fallen the night before!)

A successful stager knows where to shop to find not only the great look, but for the best price.  Our business relies on finding items quickly and getting back to work.  Many times I'm carrying a picture I have to find matching towels for, or perhaps a curtain to match with pillows -- it's rare stagers shop empty handed.
Just ask a stager where to buy some cute accent pillows and be prepared for a 15 minute dissertation on styles, prices and availability. 
Other stagers can empathize -- we rarely have just one cart.  We may go in for some new dish ware -- but … (10 comments)

This Salem home has sat on the market for nearly a year.  It started out at $179k, was increased to $185 after a new roof and was being reduced to $169k. Frankly did not show well even though it had new carpet, paint and linoleum. 
Before the online presence was -  well -- bland -- here are the actual photos:
 


We were hired with a very limited budget.  While I was was out buying curtains, the realtor stopped by and took these photos.  She was SO delighted and didn't realize that we were not done with the finishing touches … (2 comments)
