Yes is's true CreekStone Homes has sold our corporate office. 'The CreekStone Building' located at 6775 RangeWood has been sold to a defense contractor out of Denver.  The CreekStone Building has been on the market for two years now and it was finally under contract and now all contingencies have been removed and things are moving foreword.  While we are excited, change is hard and to leave something that Tom and Rhonda McDonald had a vision for, and built themselves kind of stinks.  Our new home is located at 2139 Chuck wagon Road #300, Colorado Springs Colorado 80919.  I find this … (0 comments)

CreekStone Homes: A quick Easter Story - 04/13/09 02:34 PM
So first I hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday, we got about 5" of snow here in Colorado Springs.  It was very nice, and peaceful.  So we go the 7:30 a.m. mass on Easter, yeswith 2 kids we were even on time.  My in laws really wanted to go with us and that is the best time for all.  As we arrive, get our seats, and everyone gets adjusted, there is an announcement, No priest...  What no priest, on Easter Sunday?  Evidently he over slept, on Easter Sunday.  I have never heard of such a thing, anyway he isn't coming … (1 comments)

Governor Ritter signed into law that every home built after July 2009, is acquired to have a carbon monoxide detect er 15 feet outside every bedroom and entry doors.  From a builders perspective that really stinks, with the current drop in prices and profits for builders at an all time low adding to the cost  of the homes isn't making much sense to be.  So good job Gov. Ritter, the builders can eat some more cost!

So, Pulte buys Centex, who would of thought?  I've been in the industry for about 7 years, I lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Pulte was all I wanted to own but couldn't afford.  While working for a builder in Grand Rapids, word hits the street that Pulte is leaving town.  The company I was working for bought all Pultes land in Grand Rapids, expanding the company to something like 18 locations.  Than down came the market.  In speaking to owner a couple years later he thought, why would I buy a nationals land position they have a way of for seeing … (0 comments)

With all the scuttle butt about lenders making bad loans, the sub-prime market, credit scores falling, and all other craziness that is going on.  Here are some frequently used terms when buying a new house.  CreekStone Homes wants to help clarify all the terminology.
Amortization ScheduleA timetable for payment of a mortgage loan. An amortization schedule shows the amount of each payment applied to interest and principal and shows the remaining balance after each payment is made.
