The other day I posted a blog and a graph about what is happening with inventory in Fullerton. Fullerton Real Estate - Supply and Demad - The Facts. The fact is; it has decreased. Someone asked a great question in response and it was, "What are the home prices doing in Fullerton?" Great question, here is the answer, in graph form. (Funny, I think I might be becoming a graph person after all.)

For the second Earth Day in a row, I thought it would be interesting to see what it would be like as a Realtor(r) with no car. The rules I set were simple: I could bike, walk, use public transportation or carpool.
No Big deal for a day, right? Wrong! I am a Realtor(r) that means I spend my day all over the place, at showings, meeting contractors, clients, etc... So, for one day, I packed up my stuff and got on my bike, here is the recap: (All times are approximate).

So, on my way to the office, I was sitting at a stop light with one car in front of me. Out of my peripheral I see something white blaze by me in the lane right next to me an smashed right into the car sitting at the light. That car flew through the interection and spun around in a 180, the white car, spun around and landed to the right of me. Today I attended a new event in Downtown Fullerton, The Mercantile Flea Market. I believe this was the second or third one. So far and it is off to a great start and sure to be a hit!
While there, so many of my friends and client's stopped by. I let everone know about it as well as sent out an email letting them know that I would be there for the day selling some of my vintage wares - I have lots of collections of this and that and figured this was a good way to purge a little as well as be involved … (4 comments)

One of the things I really love about Fullerton is that they have their very own Farmer's Market (in fact two). I look forward to the THURSDAY one every year as it is only from April through October.
Can you believe that yesterday was the first time I have been there this year? I can't believe it!
My friends and I all text, call or email about meeting at the market. We never have a certain time or anything since we all have kids, jobs, etc... but we just hope to catch one another there.

Closing of a Fullerton Icon...
Sadly, it is becoming a sign of the times; Small businesses closing due to declining sales and increasing rents.
Unfortunately Puddleducks is no exception. As of June 10, 2008, they will officially be closed.
Right now their store merchandise is marked down by 50% and some vendors have also marked down their goods.
Puddleducks has been in Fullerton in the Stater Bros. Shopping Center for the past 17 years according to Joy, the store's owner. It has been a destination spot for many long time Fullerton locals as well as kids in the neighborhood (including my … (2 comments)

I probably send out about 15 to 20 hand written notes in a given week. There is nothing like receiving a nice hand written note every once in a while to say, "Thank You" or to just let someone know that they are on your mind.
On Monday, I was sitting in my office when the mail came. There was a piece of mail for me that had a post mark from Baton Rouge, LA. Hm...I don't know anyone there...or so I thought!

We all know that the market is absolutely flooded with short sales! In some cases, I will do a house search, go back and omit the short sales only to have my inventory reduced by 60%!!!!
I took a class yesterday and the instructor said something that really got me thinking. He said, "Stop chasing short sales! You are working for FREE!"

So my day started out like any other, have some coffee, get ready and head out.
Heading out was a bit different. It was Earth Day and I had decided to ride my bike to the office and then on to Downtown Fullerton with a bicycle basket full of reusable grocery bags for clients and friends in the Downtown area.

Today is Earth Dayand for some reason, there does not seem to be as much attention focused on it as usual. I am a little disappointed to see this but am really excited to mix up my day a bit.
My goal today is to NOT DRIVE MY CAR! I decided to ride my bike to the office. No major undertaking by any means; it is about a mile and down hill.
