downtown fullerton: Max Bloom's Cafe Noir - Downtown Fullerton - It's Not Just Another Cuppa Joe! - 08/31/09 09:52 PM
Speaking of Joe, the first thing I noticed as I pulled up was a sign near the front door that read 89 cent cup of coffee! It was pretty much love at first sight right there. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy a latte (that was less than $3.00 if I recall) but in this economy, it is nice to know you can get a cuppa joe for 89 cents. I mean I could manage to dig that up somewhere! What a treat I was in for after walking in the front door. I was like a step back in

downtown fullerton: Monkey Business in Fullerton - 01/07/09 08:18 PM
What the heck is Monkey Business? Could it be messing around when no one is looking? Hi-jinks in Fullerton? What? I am so glad you asked! Monkey Business is a cute cafe located on Lemon and Amerige in Downtown Fullerton. You know, I have driven by so many times but never took the time to go in. I knew a bit about it but wanted to learn more. Luckily, I met Jacqueline, the Program Coordinator at a recent Chamber of Commerce meeting and she was happy to oblige. Monkey Business Cafe, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit social enterprise, was opened in August 2005 in direct response

downtown fullerton: Studio EMP - More Than Just a Photography Studio! - 12/10/08 08:56 PM
Studio EMP - More Than Just a Photography Studio! Joel (owner of Studio EMP) is one of the most amazing artists I know. I say artist because the images that I have seen are more works of art than just photos. He has been shooting pictures for years. Of course he shoots INCREDIBLE wedding photos (you can't really call them photos though, they are so much more than that), to family portraits, to fashion photography to the most surreal photos of things that with the naked eye, would appear ordinary. However, he makes them extraordinary and every photo tells a story. I

downtown fullerton: WTLC Wednessday at Spadra Restraurant in Downtown Fullerton - 09/16/08 07:52 PM
Last week I received a last minute email about an impromptu Happy Hour at Bourbon Street to support the Women's Transitional Living Center. The WTLC (like many other foundations) has a very serious funding issue due to recent budget cuts and have lost over $300,000 in the last couple of months. They were very near to shutting their doors last week when this fun and casual event was quickly put together. I was so glad I went! Well, they are doing it again, this Wednesday! Please consider stopping by with a donation. They can use almost anything you have to offer be it;

downtown fullerton: The Girls at Design By 2 Interiors saved this Fullerton Home Owner! - 09/12/08 12:57 PM
I closed escrow on a home of my own about six weeks ago. Since then my husband had been feverishly working to get the house ready for us to move into. He had contractors in and out of that place and did a lot of the work himself! We were planning on moving in at the end of August. As we quickly approached this time frame, we realized that we would be running late and that there was no time for paint! We tried to find some painters on our own and had no luck! We were out of time! Judi

downtown fullerton: What Do You Expect From Your Chamber of Commerce? The Fullerton Chamber Of Commerce is Here To Serve YOU! - 08/19/08 10:04 PM
I have always tried to keep my business in the city I live in. Years ago when I moved to the City of Fullerton, I called up the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and had their business directory sent out. Since then I have used it to find the businesses to handle almost all my needs. What better way to find a vendor/contractor that is accountable and gets involved in the city they serve? Not too long ago I recommended to a friend that was starting a new business to get involved in the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce too. She tried it

downtown fullerton: You'll Never Believe What Saved Me While on Vacation! - 08/16/08 12:55 AM
No, I didn't have to get saved from a shark attack while on my beach vacation. (Though I did panic and empty the ocean by screaming "SHARK" when I spotted a dolphin fin about 30 seconds after my son had freaked me out with a shark story.) Yes, I was totally embarrassed but that is a whole other story... Anyway, try as we might, Realtors never truely get to go on vacation. For the most part I had planned it well. I had a great voice mail message instructing callers depending on their needs. Thanks Tina for fielding most of those those calls! I brought my computer
