home: Does Being Fearless Get YOU a Great Deal on a House? - 11/23/07 03:10 PM
Today is "Black Friday", the day after Thanksgiving where almost everyone in America has decided to go shopping on the exact same day.  There are people who get up at 3 or 4 in the morning to get the best deals on their Christmas shopping.  It seems like the people who make this a tradition are fearless when it comes to shopping.
So I was thinking....this is exactly what is going on for people who are buying a home in St. Louis Park right now.  Not that they have to get up at 3 or 4am, but they know that buying a home … (0 comments)

home: What Happens When Someone Makes a Mistake During the SALE OF YOUR ST. LOUIS PARK HOME?? - 11/12/07 01:43 PM
I recently purchased a rather expensive item via telephone.  The person on the other end of the phone was going to then email me the confirmation.  So I waited and waited and the email never came through.  I called back to the company and between holding on the line and trying to figure out what the problem was, I ended up being on just that one phone call for 37 minutes.
So, I got to thinking....What happens to a St. Louis Park Seller when something goes wrong with the sale of the biggest investment of their life....their home??

Title insurance has only one specific purpose.  To insure the borrower protection against a loss arising from problems connected to the title of your property.  Which means that if a problem came up later on down the line with the title to your home, your insurance would protect you from any costs as a result.
Some people choose not to purchase title insurance, but most people do.  I definetley reccomend title insurance.  Not because it is likely that you will need it, but with something like your home I think it is better to be safe now than sorry later.

home: #1 Thing You Need to Do Before You Buy Real Estate & Move Out of Your Apartment - 10/25/07 10:41 AM
As you probably know there are many things you need to do before you buy a house in Minneapolis.  One of the first things to check out is what you need to do before you move out of your apartment into a home or condo.  First and most important thing is to read through your lease.  I've seen it time, and time again that people assume if they are buying a house or a condo that they can get out of their lease.  Some times that is the case and sometimes it is not.  Sometimes landlords have a build/buy clause where if … (0 comments)

home: What's the Right Type of Home? - 10/18/07 04:19 PM
There are many different types of homes that are availible in Minneapolis in today's market.  From condos to co-ops to townhomes to single family homes availible.  There are also one levels, side by sides, split enrties, ramblers, high rises, and low rises availible.
The question you want to start with is......What's your lifestyle??  Do you travel a lot, have kids, have time and energy to shovel snow?  Do you enjoy mowing the lawn, gardening, & landscaping?  Do you want a spare room for guests, like a big yard, or like to live near the beach?

home: Minneapolis Real Estate you WON'T REGRET - 10/15/07 10:56 AM
I've been thinking recently about people buying their first home or even people who want to purchase a second home or investment property.  And with this market more times than not, the people who have the means to buy and still have not, have a lot of fear or resitance around the thought of buying a home in the current market.
It's understandable to have some fear going into the process and of course lots of questions will come up.  But it's important to remember that the only real estate that people regret buying, is the real estate that they should have bought … (0 comments)
