Berks County located west of the Lehigh Valley is a fantastic alternative to buy a farm compared to its lofty cousin, Bucks County, where the prices of real estate are quite high.  Reading, known for its many outlets, is the county seat, . Enjoying the status of Pennsylvania Dutch Country many farms crowned with hex signs can be found dotting the countryside.  In fact there is even a hex sign driving tour.  Names like Deitsch Eck Restaraunt in Lehnartsville off of Route 78 help to remind one of this area's unique history.
