So much to blog about, so little time (LOL). Nothing like an eye candy break in your outside office to make exploring the East coast fun. If you have people living in your computer that you love, fun becomes MAD FUN! Oh boy, have I got stories to tell you guys when I settle in (LMAO). ;-)

Ever been on I-85 leaving NC to enter VA? What beautiful views... Here's a example from the NB I-85 side a few miles into VA. I have a lot more shots to share so the ride home may get very interesting. Got Rainers to meet, food to eat, FUN STUFF to show and talk about (LOL). What? You didn't hear the news? It appears I went from being "a" Google Whore to being "THE" Google Whore (ROTFLMAO). How fun is that? Very! (LOL). Enroute to Margaret Rome. We're plotting and planning to tag team at Triple Play (and possibly Inman as well). Yay! ;-)

The ActiveRain Club Chaos NC Sleepover

I was not kidnapped, held hostage, made to do things that I did not want to do... Instead, I stayed of my own free will (don't tell my husband - LOL) because for sure hanging out in The Southern Part Of Heaven IS HEAVEN!!! (LMAO)

Tune in for the movie. It's all on tape (Hahahahahaaaaaaaa!). Psssst... if I tell you what we really did I'd have to kill ya' (LOL). Just kidding. Was training them on how to make movies and music with the programs I use and they taught me how to cook chicken in a really tasty way. Food porn? You betcha! (LOL). I love my job as the Jr Ambassador from NY. Work can be mad fun, especially when you are editing excerpts to share. I have a lot of film and photographs (LOL). ;-)

BTW, several YouTubes are in progress and we will be reviewing REBarCamp RDU in a little while...

I have been cracking up all day and having a wonderful time showing off your web pages, Life With Wee People, ActiveRain and holding attendees to my seminars hostage until they signed up for their free ActiveRain accounts (LMAO). They couldn't follow along with class without being a member because we clicked and visited quite a few of your blogs today.

We have new bay-bays to welcome to the Network. Here are a few photographs and a video excerpt from one of my classes. The first one was standing room only so they moved me to a larger conference room with comfy chairs. I had lots of give aways and we played the Wordy C version of Truth or Dare. Friday, November 6th is camp day! Be there at 8:30. Can you say all day event with 25 sessions? Our iTunes project is doing well. So is our MP3 launch at Amazon.com which happens to have the wee people tickled pink because they love shopping on-line for movies there (LOL). We're getting some Internet Radio play and will eventually migrate to the college stations. I think the shorties wont know what to do with themselves when it eventually hits regular radio.

DJ Minions, eh? Gotta love kids... I wonder what we will cook up next... Working on a full album with a bit of help from some very talented friends (when my kids are not making off with the equipment - LMAO). So far it's been mad fun. Will try to return to my podcasting now that Noah and Stephen are both sleeping soundly (LOL). Hubby is playing World of Warcraft and I am answering what appears to be our first bit of fan mail.

Life With Wee People: Minioncast? Where's My Podcast Files? Seriously...

One minute I'm setting up for a skype par-tay so I can spoof with Karen and Candice and give them a sneak preview of some music spam. The next minute my pending date with my gal pals is kicked to the curb because the wee people decide it's time to record silly songs in coded gibberish (LOL). I opened protective baggies and untied wiring for this? A short people broadcast in wee people foreign language?

I was originally thinking: (1) I cracked open the water proof case (which has really tight latches and is tough to open) so (2) I can record more digital tracks and (3) catch up on my blog posts by talking instead of typing. I then modified my thinking: Awwww... Aren't they cute? Let them have a couple of minutes and I'll erase what they are doing and get back to work after I go get my snack-age so I can settle in for some fun. Hmm... Being enterprising little men they erased my dumb a$$ first (LOL).

Psssst... Can you say stupid, stupid mommy? Wassup with the moron pills you been popping lately? Yo! You know they earned their term of endearment so what the heck were you thinking? Little minions should never be left alone with electronics. Especially if you have a three year old addicted to their ritual sacrifice(LMAO).

I bet they were thinking we should erase this to make room for our stuff, after all: (1) It's Noah's turn, (2) It's Stephen's turn, (3) It's Noah's turn, (4) It's Noah's turn, (5) It's Noah's turn, (6) It's Stephen and Noah's turn, (7) What the... hey, lady, get back... See where this is going? Can't podcast. Can't blog. Can't check the e-mail... Having all sorts of withdrawal thoughts and wondering why one hour of their time feels like three of mine (LOL).

Will Wordy C ever get her podcast done with Candice? Who knows... Right now I'm wiping the scribble off the wall to the right compliments of Stephen the Blur Minion and watching my miniature technogeeks get freaky with the mics (LMAO). I bet Karen and Bloggy-Anna would love them if they got up close and personal with 'em. We are all such a bunch of Curious Georges in my house. Watching them create and manipulate wave files is fun.

Why are they still wake? Hmm... Why are kids ever still wake? (LOL) No school tomorrow. We're voting. Oh well... Mr Autistic and Mr PDD-NOS are having mad fun so I guess their easily amused mother will let 'em keep the mixer dancing with audio output lights... Never know... Their giggles may make for stellar ringtones down the road (LOL). :-)

Will I ever post a Minioncast? Hmm... Wouldn't that be interesting? Maybe... Maybe not. Depends upon the conversation and how shrill Stephen decides to voice his Daffy Duck syndrome of screaming MINE!!! (LOL)

Stephen the Blur Minion is having a very big day. It's Halloween and shorty has tasted every type of candy Big Daddy Minion brought into the house. The birthday party starts at four but I kinda don't want to interrupt his nap on the table. Seems he fell out after wrecking the bedroom while watching "Open Season." They play that movie at least three times a day. Noah has it scripted (LOL).

Normal mothers would never let their three year olds sleep on the table... but I'm not normal. I only pick him up if he falls asleep on the floor or laundry bag (LOL). "The Table" happens to be one of his fave spots. Ain't messing with him when he's in his happy place. Ever deal with a cranky PDD-NOS kid? You wouldn't mess with him either if you knew what I knew about Baby Taz (LMAO). ;-)

Nap time is sacred... :-) Will wake the little minion up to dress him as a ninja later. Mikey wants Ninja Eye Candy (LOL). This should get very interesting. Will be blogging live from a Halloween Birthday Party later. Never saw that one coming (LOL). Sad thing is I really wanna stay on my keyboards (LMAO). Oh well... kids gotta socialize, eh?

Update: Pulling out the Jap uniform (LOL). Less than four hundred people around the entire world own one of these. ;-)

Diary Of A Google Whore... 10-31-2009

The cool thing about running in the rain to clear your head is that once it is clear you have plenty of room to fill it with sensations and impressions. Sometimes it is the Etymology of the word "Whore" or "Prostitute" that catches your attention while you jog by the bus stop and notice shenanigans going on in a parked car (ROTFL). According to Wikipedia: ‘To prostitute is derived from a composition of two Latin words: (preposition) pro and (verb) statuere. A literal translation therefore would be: ‘to expose’, ‘to place up front’. Hmm... when you take the sex slant out of it, being a very narrow and specific type of innocuous whore may actually be quite useful (LOL).

We all know what Google is so I shall not waste time defining it. But what is a "Google Whore?" Hmm... Some might say a Google Whore is a person (like me) hell bent on Google Domination that advocates using Google to get what you want (LMAO). Think about it: (1) We are writers. (2) We all want exposure. (3) We market ourselves and companies, soliciting strangers who are seeking something we may be able to give them when they search for professional products and services...

Question: Don't we all want our websites to show up on page one of stellar search engines? I know I do. My search engine of choice happens to be Google (LOL).

With all things in life the virtual road you choose will determine your final page rank destination. Being addicted to Google Juice, I blog in the Rain and happily advocate pimping Outside Blogs because my three outside blogs feed my insatiable Google Domination cravings. I like being one of the three Queens of Chaos and love the fact that if you were to Google "Club Chaos" my bay-bays in ClubChaosAgents.com and the ActiveRain Group: Club Chaos are rocking cyberspace with their link love. You will discover both sites are happily entrenched on page one of Google within the top 15 slots. How cool is that? Very. Bet you wish you were a Google Whore (LOL).

Of course, the connotation suggests there is a dark side to Google Whoredom. Why don't we go to the Urban Dictionary to find out more information about the digital divide's "oldest profession" and sometimes biggest competitive complaint (LOL). In the meantime, I'm going to go back to making more music spam and creating original content so I can solicit the public for intellectual and nonsensical discourse while I pimp my blogs (LMAO). I might even sell some real estate while I am at it... :-)

Big Daddy Minion Is On The Prowl For A House

Which has me completely distracted (LOL). Being a smart Rainer, I asked two smarter Rainers to rep the hubby. :-)

I believe in hiring professionals and getting the hell out of their way once I retain 'em and ask for help. When we are done it is going to be a mad fun blog post. The whole team is from Club Chaos, so, need I say more? (LOL)

Our mortgage broker is a Rainer too, but he barely blogs so I'm mentoring him. He's already working on multiple AR referrals from me and I can't imagine using someone else for my family's project because Dude can close in less than two weeks if you give him what the underwriter needs. I have a need for speed 'cause I wanna impress the hubby. I'm trying to get him to get his license so the RE bet is on (LMAO).

Will Wordy C win it? How can I not with Rainers like you guys at my disposal (ROTFL). :-)

Wanna see what happens if you put a bunch of fun Rainers on a project from multiple states? Hmm... I bet you do. Stay tuned... I will be invading a couple of states to collect some interesting closing escrow eye candy (LOL). Mikey's first social media closing is going to be a real hoot.

I wonder what mine will be like when I get around to it... Yup. Investing the Donald Trump way (LOL). Hope my offer doesn't get the shotgun treatment (LMAO).

Live From The New York State Capitol, Albany NY

This is the park directly across the street from the Capitol, Education and Legislative Buildings. There are some really neat monuments in there (and a grave) which I shall show you guys later (LOL).

While wandering about the facade of the educational building I noticed you get a really cool view of the Capitol (on your left) and the Legislative buildings (on the right). I enjoyed getting up close and personal regarding how people start with an idea, bring it to a lawmaker, then suffer through the journey the inner circle describes as the legislative process only to discover a good and bad idea have equal opportunity to be made into laws (LMAO).

Did I get an interesting education today? Yup. Shall be blogging about it very shortly. It really is a very cool and useful process. The problem lies in the fact that not enough of us are getting involved. We appear to be reactive rather than proactive. Lawmakers love proactive constituents... Hmm... I may have to make a new set of friends up here (LOL). BTW, AR makes an excellent think tank. Lots of great minds with good ideas to share. How could I not? (LOL)

I took 187 photographs during my visit so sorting through them all my take a while. Wanna see the inside of the Assembly/State Building? They have cool hearing rooms, art, lots of marble everywhere (except the ladies room - bummer - no cool bathroom shot - LOL).

Was driving 171.6 miles worth it? Abso-friggin-lutely. I am sooooo doing this again (LOL). On the hunt for food. Will get back to blogging live from Albany in a couple of hours. Still making friends, trading business cards and bragging about my bay-bays (LOL). ;-)

Looking forward to poking around upstate. Leaving in 15 minutes. This should be very interesting. Too bad it's raining. Then again, diffused lighting can make for some very interesting pictures. Hopefully it will clear up by 10 and traffic isn't too bad. We shall see...

In the meantime, got your e-mails and shall answer them once I get settled in. Wordy C answering e-mail is always fun for me (even when I'm cranky - LOL).

Why am I cranky? Was stuck in the elevator with my neighbor, no one answered the alarm going off and my cell phone kept dropping the signal (too much metal). Finally got through to the hubby and a neighbor. Hubby thought I was kidding and took his time while the neighbor hunted down maintenance. Hmm...

Maintenance kept bouncing the elevator up and down until it finally landed on a floor where the door would open. :-)

All's well that ends well. Too bad it messed up my schedule and sunny disposition (LOL). Yes, there is irony in that statement (LMAO). See you guys later... ;-)

The "sagacity" of transparent writers to be able to link together apparently innocuous incidents, events, facts and obsrvations to come to what one may consider to be a "valuable conclusion" is part of interpersonal communication skills. You either have the gift of gab or you don't. You can't force it, you have to let it flow with your true voice and embrace your imperfections because all people have flaws and they can relate to matters of the heart (or dissenting opinions) if the voice they hear is an honest one.

Notice I did not say right or wrong. I said express yourself honestly. You, as a writer, have to learn to share a piece of yourself in such a way that you feel comfortable with the conversation while you share what ever it is you deem is interesting or important at the moment. Only you can decide to go forward with your writing project and only you can recognize the exact moment someone or something inspires you. Is it a rant or a rave that gets you started? Love your friends? Love your toys? Love food, pets, cars, travel? Obsessed about market reports? Do you attack, defend and/or support other writers? (I seem to do a little bit of it all- LOL) BTW, wanna help Candice monetize her blog by getting the virtual vote out? Bloggy-Anna does need your daily vote so why not blog-jack the re-blog button while you're voting for a stellar Rainer?

Who ever or what ever you decide to support says a lot about you. Sometimes your silence can say even more... If you are a pretender to the virtual throne people will eventually discover that as well so why not just speak with a honest voice? Why worry about keeping up with the politically correct proverbial Jones?

The thing you have to remember is you have no control of other people's reactions.You have no idea what paths the conversation will take or where the comment threads may lead. Kudos and congrats? Roast? Toast? Argument? Blog Wars? New group? Someone un-subscribing? New subscriptions? Litigation? It can go anywhere... You can go anywhere... My question to you today is are you brave enough to take that journey?

I hope so. It can be mad fun... Even when your Tomtom fails and you have to borrow a Garmin from your girlfriend, Margaret Rome (in MD) so you can get home safely to New York City because of road work and other unexpected detours (LMAO). Do you know my friggin' GPS is still waiting to find a valid satellite signal? I'm home, DumbDumb. It still doesn't know where I am... Seriously... I wiped the drive and started the download over and everything... (sigh). I love my TomTom. I want my quirky British voice telling me where to go. May have to buy a new one because I have another adventure to go on, but I digress (LOL).

You can get as silly or as serious as you want. It's your blog. You can support who ever and what ever you choose. You can advocate what ever you want. You can piss on someone's virtual grave then hug and kiss and make up later after resurrecting your cyber-relations. You can also decide to be a founder and create an ActiveRain Group so the people fascinated by your philosophy in cyber-space can gather and socialize into their own little virtual tribes to be nurtured and grown into a blogging machine hell bent on Google domination (e.g. look at Whacked and Club Chaos). If you do this well, then you will discover that other people will respond in the most surprising of ways... they will follow and have conversations with you (LOL). ;-)

The dynamics of groups interacting is what makes a network unique. Each group has it's own virtual DNA and the members associating within their structures is what makes the groups interesting. They take on a life of their own and birth other entities. For instance: What do you get when you combine BananaTude, Blogs Happen, Club Chaos, Whacked, Jacked, Cosmic Cow Pie and Happy at ActiveRain? You get The ActiveRain Gutter of course (LMAO). Think I am kidding? Apparently you haven't read the membership roll over there (LOL). Gutter Activepeeps are from those other fun, very active and sometimes controversial AR groups. Why do these groups even exist? Serendipity... They were each created because someone somewhere made that ONE comment that birthed an idea and inspired a call to action.

Who have you inspired today? How have you inspired them? Words are a sharp, two edged sword and ideas are bullets. Original content is not only king, it's your creative shield and if you are in these groups then you understand that it takes a peculiar individual to go way out on a limb into cyber-space and walk with a big blogging stick. We don't do half a$$. Even when we play... We walk our talk. Do you?

Do I blog by accident and sagacity, or am I shrewd writer pretending to be a boob? Inquiring minds want to know, which is why I get so much e-mail (LMAO). Psssst... can you keep a secret? Sometimes I do neither, sometimes I do both and on occasion I am a boob. There. I said it (LOL).

The trick of a good writer is to keep you guessing which it is. You have no idea what I am about to do next and it's distracting you... (LOL) If you can not make a person crave to know something more then you need to change your blog habits right now... May I suggest taking a road trip?

(Psssst... make sure you update your TomTom and Garmin before you leave. My maps expired on me. I didn't know they could do that. Geez... a warning would have been nice. I only drove over 1,500 miles blind - LOL)

I am soooo going on this next ActiveRain Road Trip (LOL). Just got back home and started reading the mail. Lekeya Martin, Legislative Analyst, Assembly Committee on Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry I thank you. In spades.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please write what ever you believe is important to you regarding the state of our industry because I would love to present to them a written statement. My instructions provide for ten prepared copies to be delivered to them in advance so have at it people.

I plan to attend the Economic Development Budget Oversight Hearing on October 28, 2009. The meeting starts at 10 AM in the New York State Capitol's Assembly Parlor, Room 306.

The Junior Ambassador from New York would like to make ActiveRain proud, so please think about what you are going to post in the comment sections. I have every intention of whipping out my laptop to show you guys off (LOL).

I am in love with this building... It was standing during World War II and has a very special history.

Did You Know If You Kiss At A Manning, SC Cow It Will Come See What The Heck You Are Doing? (LOL) Being a New Yorker, we tend to treat farm animals like puppies. We kiss and coo and tell them how cute they are because they are (LOL).

Kissing and cooing also works for Salters, SC horses but you have to be very careful how you approach them and stand very, very still... :-)
