Life With Wee People: Minion Painting 101 You may not think you can paint because you have it in your head that it has to look like something, some place or someone. That's not true. You can express yourself just by your use of color. How you scrape it, blend it, contrast and highlight says a lot about you. Painting is a very personal thing. When you create paintings for your blog they don't have to be a 20 x 20 canvass like we are using. Get yourself 8 x 10 panels and do what ever you want, then (24 comments)
club chaos: N.A.R.E.C. v. CCIM Institute (Hmm... I need to pick one...) - 04/09/09 12:46 PM
http://www.narec.com/ Here's a curious little site that caught my attention that you guys may find interesting. Here's the quote that made me poke around for a while: "The National Association of Real Estate Consultants® was founded in 1999 to assist real estate professionals in re-framing their focus as real estate consultants to better meet the needs of today's savvy consumer." What does that mean? I'm still trying to figure it all out but they seem a pretty positive group. They state they have "consumer-focused training tools like the Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant® (C-CREC®) designation..." Hmm... I only want a CCIM but (18 comments)
club chaos: Real Estate Applicants For A Loan Or Forbearance May Want To Get Their Consumer Reports - 03/29/09 06:16 PM
Sometimes people e-mail me the most interesting questions. If it is interesting enough I will answer my e-mail in public. I am a paralegal not an attorney so I do not give legal advice but I can share common knowledge. Today, I shall share two points of order and will make no opinions regarding the quotes. BTW, these little snippets of New York state information can be found on government websites (if you care to look for it) and I am simply going to provide two quotes from here. I love quoting the government. It makes my life easy. If you (4 comments)

club chaos: Bernard B. Kerik, well done, sir! - 03/10/09 02:02 PM
BBK posted a Facebook link to an article that he wrote entitled, "No More Lip Service on Darfur." You ever have a plain spoken man say something that made so much sense you had to stop and wonder why more people are not saying this? You guys know how much I love my recreational reading. His words actually made me stop and think. It is my pleasure to share this article with you and I believe it's worth a mention to your social media peeps. If you like it, please pass the link along. club chaos: 3 Minutes With Stephen The Minion Blur - 03/03/09 12:14 AM
All it takes is three minutes with Stephen the Minion Blur to realize that kid has a one track mind (LOL). He's fascinated with snow and his Mama is a snow bunny. My original intention was to take a photograph of the boys to send to my Mother-in-Law, but he was playing so nice I found myself thinking Grandma would probably enjoy hearing a little babel from my little-guy-pie, so I opened the window to give us something to talk about. Snow (LOL).
The Outside Blog Minion Report Saturday, February 28th, 2009 Carolyn Tann-Starr on Social Networking Every second a digital wave of infinite possibilities oscillates through the Internet. My question to you is are you going to embrace the technology or are you going to ignore blogging as a viable part of your business plan? It was recently reported that Facebook registered over 1.2 billion visits, MySpace over 800 million and Twitter over 54 million during January of 2009. In the interim of 31 days a tremendous amount of information exchanged minds on a global scale, digitally dancing across (89 comments)

New Toys For My Anniversary (YAY!) I brought my system at IDJ Now. I've been saying "new toys" for days. :-) I finally used my gift money and picked up a portable podcast set-up for my Sony Laptop. What a neat package. I'm in love with Alesis. I have always loved this company. My drum machine is a 1997 Alesis SR-16 which I'm still having a lot of fun with and have introduced (21 comments)

My private collection may be an oxymoron (LOL). Most readers would assume this is a rhetorical question; however, I assure you it is not. club chaos: A Perception Of Value Revisited: The Active Rain Rate Of Return vs Cyber-welfare - 02/16/09 11:00 PM
On November 6, 2008 a few snide comments inspired me to write "A Perception Of Value." Now I find that I am inspired to revisit the concept once again. This time it is not in defense of myself but in defense of this Network. No one is perfect, but as far as businesses go, AR has been pretty transparent about most things they had no obligation to disclose. This company has continually given us insight into what they believe is best for their business model. We have been a quasi-non-voting-blog-partner from day one. Collectively, we may even have become somewhat accustomed (35 comments)

The members of the AR Mommy Bloggers writing team is going to go join. We think it will be fun and invite you to come take a peek at this small group of very interesting women. Deborah Stone wrote this really great and very brief real estate post entitled, "Are You Saying What I Think You Are Saying?" She also wrote another short post entitled, "Are You Interested In What I Do, Or Are You Just Picking My Brain?" I have been sitting over here cracking up laughing because those two Real Esate blog post titles remind me of Twitter quips. When I created @CTannStarr it was with the intention to keep in touch with my friends and send my psycho-babble tweets into their friend feeds. When I created @ClubChaos, it (11 comments)
I had a wonderful time at Inman 2009 and am very much looking forward to my next set of AR Road Trips.
I remember thinking as I headed towards the Marriott that TLW and Broker Bryant would not be there. I was a little sad because Billie has not been feeling well lately and I would have loved to meet them. I hope I will some time later on this year, so please keep BB and TLW in your prayers and send them your regards. She's gonna need her strength to deal with the little minions (LOL). November 2008 In Review: Kari A. Battaglia Kari's Outside Blog This is a person who quotes Theodore Roosevelt when she reflects on giving thanks: "Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds." Theodore Roosevelt. She also makes very interesting use of the re-blog option. Have you seen her recipe for fresh cranberry sauce? I was happy to discover it was surprisingly easy (9 comments)

They are part of the Active Rain group Club Chaos which was co-founded by three Realtors: Amanda Hall, Melody Botting and Carolyn Tann-Starr. Membership is by invitation only because the members nominate and sponsor other members. We want to grow at a slow, careful pace because our personal relationships matter to us.
