kids: Christmas Lights and Midtown Minions - 11/30/08 08:14 PM
Susan Mangigian was right: Play dough and microwave should "never, ever, ever be used in the same sentence" (LOL). I've been joking in Twitter about this and I must say when it comes to ironic humor Ruthmarie Hicks has got me and my little people down pat. She has come up with a brilliant blog post idea and I can't wait to present it. Now if I can only stop laughing long enough to write it. ;-) I am going to dedicate this post to my girlfriend Poppy Dinsey who has been a bit quiet in Active Rain lately. It appears

kids: Club Chaos Eye Candy: The Minions Take Manhattan - 11/30/08 01:43 PM
Cameron Wilson, Elizabeth Weintraub, Richard Weisser, Lizette Fitzpatrick, Poppy Dinsey, Melody Botting and Susan Mangigian have a very interesting collective sense of humor. I love reading their blog posts and enjoy bantering with them across the Blogosphere. They are part of the Active Rain group Club Chaos which was co-founded by three Realtors: Amanda Hall, Melody Botting and Carolyn Tann-Starr. Membership is by invitation only because the members nominate and sponsor other members. We want to grow at a slow, careful pace because our personal relationships matter to us. There is a lot more to us than just a bunch

Stephen I. Starr at EIP pre-school Got some very interesting e-mail from my AR and Twitter peeps. Rather than answer you each individually, I've decided to write a blog post to give you all some insight into what my life is like as a Realtor battling with my kids learning disabilities. So go get comfy 'cause this is gonna' be a looooong post (LOL). Got a question? You can comment, e-mail, or tweet me (@CTannStarr). No one really knows what anyone else is going through. We look at the surface and make assumptions because we process information based upon what

kids: Through the eyes of a six year old... - 05/21/08 09:45 PM
The wonderful thing about being a Realtor mom is the flexibility I have regarding controlling my schedule. The fact of the matter is, my kids rule the roost, so my life revolves around their school schedules and social agendas. I've quite happily discovered my six year old has an ear for music and eye for art. He also has a wonderful sense and zest for transforming his concept of life into color and can spend hours pouring over picture books of Monet, Manet, Cezanne, Van Gogh and Picasso while taking a scissor to my copies of "This Old House" to
