Eating is one of my favorite pastimes. I have said it before and I will say it again: Gotta go here if you are in Fresh Meadows, Queens County, NY. Seriously!!! The food is Spanking-A tasty. Ever have an Israeli salad? They dice it very fine. Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, parsley dressed in olive oil and lemon juice. Ever have an Israeli Coffee? I am not a coffee drinker but I crave

new york: Outside Blog Minion Report: Dear Diary, My Passion Is Art... - 02/23/09 06:25 AM
The Outside Blog Minion Report Monday, February 23, 2009 Club Chaos Agents Ward Nasse Gallery TannStarr.com A picture is worth a thousand words... but what do you do when you own thousands of photographs? My private collection may be an oxymoron (LOL). Most readers would assume this is a rhetorical question; however, I assure you it is not. When ever I go through the files I always feel as if I am about to have a Dr. Seuss moment for one could get lost playing in there if he or she is not very careful (and the fact of the

new york: 36 Degrees Of Open House (Active Rain Saves The Day) - 12/06/08 03:49 PM
I have a thing for hardwood floors. I think they make a house sexy. So do fireplaces and a number of other optional selling points. When it comes to shopping for a property to invest or dwell in, we all have that "ooo-ahh intangible features button" ingrained in our souls where if the right bit of construction eye candy comes along it will trigger that response of momentary awe when we really, really like something. I like the smell of new construction and I like the sheen of hardwood floors. :-) My girlfriend has these two listings that I am

new york: Christmas Lights and Midtown Minions - 11/30/08 08:14 PM
Susan Mangigian was right: Play dough and microwave should "never, ever, ever be used in the same sentence" (LOL). I've been joking in Twitter about this and I must say when it comes to ironic humor Ruthmarie Hicks has got me and my little people down pat. She has come up with a brilliant blog post idea and I can't wait to present it. Now if I can only stop laughing long enough to write it. ;-) I am going to dedicate this post to my girlfriend Poppy Dinsey who has been a bit quiet in Active Rain lately. It appears

new york: 11/21/2008 Dear Diary: I Love Astoria Park, Queens County, New York - 11/21/08 07:40 AM
I love jogging under the Triborough Bridge. You get a great water view of the residential cityscape of upper Manhattan and Harlem. They have a very well maintained track, not to mention a spanking set of tennis courts. I am plotting a new project with my girlfriends and the hubby. I decided to give you a sneak preview of the photographs to come. I'm doing some research on the area in the hopes of making the presentation useful as a hyper-local post. I may even squeeze in a market report (LOL). Stay tuned for a very interesting turtle run post later

new york: Club Chaos Eye Candy: Flushing, Queens County, NY Tour of Homes (Vol 7) - 10/16/08 08:20 AM
"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one." Mother Teresa Elizabeth Nieves, the founder of Activist Rain selected that quote as part of her group's description. It is about "one thing... and one thing only: recognizing that ONE PERSON can change the world one simple act of kindness of and love at a time." Jason Crouch introduced me to Elizabeth's blog. Paddy Pizappi invited me to join her group. After reading the posts published there I found myself wondering what act of kindness I was going to perform today. When you are being spontaneous it is so

new york: Club Chaos Eye Candy: Shea Stadium and Citi Field - 10/14/08 07:17 PM
Citi Field and Shea Stadium have a statistical comparison chart that you can read here at the New York Mets official website. Citi Field is due to open in April of 2009 and I am very excited about that because we are going to bring the boys to a family day event. How would you like to see a time lapse video recording of the construction over a period of months? It's a very cool little video but a bit slow so please have some patience while you are waiting for it to load. You can watch the video clip here.

new york: 10-14-2008 Dear Diary: I've Got New Shea Stadium Citi Field Eye Candy - 10/14/08 12:37 PM
Shea Stadium, Flushing Meadows Park, Queens County, New York I finally made it to the hard hats after being delayed on the Grand Central Parkway due to a car accident. I only got to spend an hour with the guys and stayed well away from the moving vehicles. I'm working on a Club Chaos Eye Candy feature but am having a difficult time selecting the final photographs. I took a lot of shots and am very pleased to report that the crews have made significant progress since my last visit back in July. I am so looking forward to sharing

new york: 10-14-2008 Dear Diary: Grand Central Drama With Lots Of Trauma - 10/14/08 11:54 AM
Grand Central Parkway, Queens County, New York On my way to hang out with the hard hats at Shea Stadium I got stuck in traffic and found myself wondering what on earth was going on. Lots of fire trucks were converging on an area ahead of me and traffic ground to a halt. By the time I rolled up on the drama it was evident that a lot of destruction had taken place. I found myself hoping that no one had died in this incident and put my camera away. I couldn't take any more pictures when I finally

new york: A Builder's Nightmare but a Homeowner's Dream - 10/14/08 03:11 AM
Decatur Street, Brooklyn, New York I have this new construction listing that is priced to sell. It's a gorgeous home, a six bedroom double duplex over double duplex townhouse close to public transportation and surrounded by Brooklyn Brownstones. It has off street parking and has a lovely, over grown backyard. The only problem is, every time I go to check on my firms inventory I find myself having to chase someone off of the property because they want to see the inside or think it is a cool place to hang out (e.g. the steps). Why do people think

new york: Minion Community Walk down Queens Blvd: "The Silver Towers" and "Briarwood Cafe" - 10/13/08 11:35 PM
Silver Towers, Kew Gardens, Queens County, New York Located at the corner of Queens Blvd and 83 Street is the Silver Towers. There is a whole row of really cool businesses lined up beneath this wonderful residence and you can see a bit of Manhattan from the upper floors. Cocina Latina is located in the lower center of the picture where the orange sign is. They deliver and happen to be one of my favorite 35 restaurants that do. Stephen is a fixture there. He has a favorite table and hostess. We usually go with my girlfriend Susana and sometimes

new york: Broker Exam: Dual Agency and Designated Sales Associates - 09/29/08 03:02 AM
Broker Exam: Dual Agency and Designated Sales Associates I'm studying for the Broker's exam for two states simultaneously and I am trying not to mix up FL law with NY law. I am currently interested in the revised New York State statutes regarding the definition of "Designated Sales Associate." According to the law text, a Designated Sales Associate is "a licensed Real Estate Salesman or Associate Broker, working under the supervision of a Real Estate Broker, who has been assigned to represent a client when a different client is also represented by such real estate broker in the same transaction."
