houses cumming ga: Vacant Homes May Need Special Insurance? - 11/01/10 01:11 PM
Do you need Vacant Home Insurance? If you are planning on moving out of your home before you sell it, you may need special homeowners insurance. Many homeowners policies have a "vacancy clause" that's triggered if the home owner is gone for an extended period of time. Like if you move first then put your home on the market. That's because empty homes are more likely to have break-ins and there's a greater risk of small problems growing into big problems. "While an extra policy might cost more, it could save you money down the road," says Jane L. Cline,

houses cumming ga: Forclosures: Be Aware of the Possible Tax - 07/09/10 01:43 PM
CAN THE IRS TAX YOUR LOSS? A lot of homeowners today are deciding to walk away from their house that is loosing value. You should be aware of the possible tax implications if you do a foreclosure. While debt used to buy or build a home might be exempt, debt from a cash-out refinance that was not used for the house is not. So if you took cash out of your home to fund your child's college tuition, buy a

houses cumming ga: Are Home Prices Ever Going to Improve in Georgia? - 05/18/10 10:01 AM
A lot of todays homeowners would like to move but can not afford to make that move because what they paid for their home a few years ago is not what they can sell it for today. What is keeping Georgia's home prices down? Foreclosures continue to service as a major source of declining home values on residential real estate in Georgia. They keep the market from rebounding. At the end of 2009, 2.68% of all housing units in Georgia were in foreclosure, according to statistics compiled by Realty Trac. That number is up about 24% from the end of 2008

houses cumming ga: Looking for the Perfect Home in Cumming GA but can't find it?? - 04/28/10 12:27 PM
I have been taking my buyers to look at homes in Cumming GA and they seem to find the perfect house but it hasn't been updated. What can buyers do if they don't have the extra cash to make those changes? My mortgage lender, Jeff Morris with Suntrust Bank, has a great idea. They offer a mini rehab loan that you can add up to $20,000 worth of changes that you would like to make to the home on to the sales price so you can finance them in. Now the buyer does not have to come out of pocket for

houses cumming ga: SR141 Widening Project in Cumming, GA. - 08/16/09 07:21 PM
Wondering why the GADOT project for widening SR141 is taking so long?? This is what the GADOT has to say comment on that: There are three main reasons for the delay of the project: The Consultant designer went out of business just prior to the beginning of work and was not able to complete the plans for the project. The plan required many revisions due to all of the changes along SR 141 such as new subdivisions and commercial retail development. The new developments were coordinated through GDOT but not accurately reflected in the plans by the design consultant. The revisions
