When I was a relatively new agent, I was hired as the REALTOR for the first affordable housing complex in our town of North Haven. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, or the time commitment this project would require. With the crack down on the mortgage industry, and the tightening of credit it was my sincere hope the bottom feeders had left the industry, but alas I guess they are still out their trying to make a living. I received a contact from a woman who found me on the internet. She was trying to find information on a certain mortgage company doing business in our great State of Connecticut, but found me instead.

There has been a complete make over of the North Haven Basketball team this year. Peter Civitello has come to North Haven from coaching Basketball in Guilford. Peter Civitello is a former North Haven Indian Alumnus. Due to large graduation losses for the Indians, the North Haven team will be facing many challenges this year. New coach leading a very inexperienced team, however if Coach Civitello's level of enthusiasm is any indication, North Haven will have a great basketball team this year. Come on out and see a game! The Town of North Haven will have its annual tree lighting ceremony today, Sunday, December 2, from 2 to 5 pm. The event will be held on the town green. There will be a performance by the North Haven High School Concert Choir. Hayrides will also be available and pictures with Santa, plus many other activities. John Caffery & The Beaver Brown Band preformed again this year at the North Haven Fair. It was a beautiful night, much different than last year's pouring rain and the band played all their old hits which had the crowd on their feet and dancing. And when they performed their hit "On the dark side", it brought down the house.

Once again the North Haven Adult Education is offering classes this fall. There is a wide variety of courses to choose from; everything from computer courses to belly dancing. They also offer GED preparation classes and English as a Second Language. Classes begin September 24, 2007 and the last day for mail in registration is September 15. You have signed on with a real estate company, ordered you business cards, and convinced one of your friends that you are now a real estate professional and can find them their dream home.
