real estate agent: Giving never gets old, does it? - 04/21/09 05:06 PM
So last week I volunteered to get put in "jail" for MDA (see previous post - and help! The website will remian open for three more weeks!) and then on Saturday about 20 of us helped gut a friends house so that she can get the entire interior of the home refinished. And what I realized is that by giving I get so much back, and I became happier and nicer and better at work.
First, the MDA lock up event went great! My cohorts in crime raised a bunch of money (much of which was dropped off to the event … (4 comments)

real estate agent: Everyone wants to change compensation plans! - 05/11/07 10:41 AM
So one of my favorite hobbies is watching all of the people who don't really know or understand what the problem is or if there even is one. Just a moment ago I read a headline on Inman that seemed to suggest that mortgage brokers need to find a new way to be compensated; Time to change how loan brokers are compensated, and of course 60 Minutes will air a report this Sunday night on how real estate agents are compensated and I'm certain they will focus on all the negative and bad things that are found when paying someone a … (0 comments)

So I read these articles and the posts and all the news media coverage and I have come to a few conclusions. First off, I believe that 2007 will be strong for those who have a niche or a steady market base. For those who … (0 comments)

real estate agent: Master of Real Estate designation - 09/12/06 06:18 PM
For many people, both the general public and industry professionals, the Alphabet Soup of designations has gotten, well, cloudy over the years. Trying to determine which designation is the best has up until now been very difficult. Recently however the MRE designation has become nationwide and recognized as the standard for professionalism and expertise in real estate.
Why? What does an MRE mean to me?
The Master of Real Estate designee is already proven success. The real estate professional carrying this designation is just that, a Professional. They have made a career out of working hard for their customers, furthering their education and … (3 comments)
