I came accross this video from a post when I was reading one of the blogs I read daily in Google Reader from Breaking Napa Valley News which had only one line "You have heard of the legendary restaurant with average bill $900+ for two but have you met Thomas Keller.

The FHFA has announced changes to short sale policies that will make it easier for military homeowners with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans to honor their financial commitments when they are required to move as part of their duty.
Military homeowners who receive Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders will be eligible to sell their homes in a short sale even if they are current on their mortgage. In the beginning there was only Mama Ninas. It was the perfect place being the first to do a great Italian style pizza in the Napa Valley, the best calamari and a bottle of Alexander Valley Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon for $8. Throw in Howard Lane, an infamous Napa Valley maitre de and fixture, and this was easily the hottest spot in the Napa Valley.

This may be a list that the Town of Yountville doesn't want to be number one on. But according to a press release from CheapHotels.org, taken in 30 California destinations June through August 2012, Yountville has the priciest hotel rooms in the state. I don't know how much stock to put into this but their website did show up #29 on a Google search of "cheap hotel rooms". One thing for certain, the Town is a true destination with several top rated hotels and spas with about 600 rooms in total.

Freddie Mac has released a new servicer bulletin announcing changes to its underwriting requirements that expand the use of electronic signatures and reduce duplicative borrower information verification.The bulletin announces the following changes:
Allowing electronic signatures for certain loan application documents. Servicers may begin using electronic versions of certain initial loan documents for the origination processes as outlined in the Servicer Guide. With this change, servicers will be able to take advantage of the operational efficiencies and quicker processing that electronic transactions provide. Speeding up short sales
Beginning June 15, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which regulates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, will require both agencies to give short-sale buyers a final decision within 60 days.
Under this same guideline, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac also must respond to initial requests for a short sale within 30 days of receiving the buyer’s submission. According to one analyst, expedited sales as a result of the new directive will benefit the entire housing market.
