In the Palm of My Hand...      The other day while working on one of my Koi ponds, I heard a loud thump on one of the glass windows to the sun room and a very recognizable squeak. Hummers get rather aggressive around the feeder this time of year as they buzz one another in order to secure the remaining supply of nectar for themselves.      Looking up, I saw this hummer flop to the ground right in front of me and I had to reach out to keep it from falling into the pond.
