michaels dig: Fear Mongering... - 11/03/11 05:10 PM
Fear Mongering... Those of us in the industry, fully understand that Real Estate is local. However; it appears as if the National Media has not or has made the decision to turn a blind eye and ear to this and speak what they want folks to hear under the premise - bad news sells. Not all markets are bad. However; the National Media constantly picks the worst case scenario, plasters it on prime time, and spins it into doom and gloom. Taking into account to what is happening in distressed markets and applying it on a National level (15 comments)
michaels dig: (not so) Speachless Sundae ~ 10.23.11... - 10/23/11 06:52 AM
(not so) Speachless Sundae ~ 10.23.11... To me, fall is both a blessing and a curse. Yes, the last of the warm weather will be gone and soon I will be looking at a gray, barren landscape for several months. But for now, I chose to sit in a nice quite spot and contemplate on the events of this past summer and bask in the warmth, sights and sounds of the season... Enjoy your Sundae...
michaels dig: Developing the Script... - 10/18/11 04:19 PM
Developing the Script... The development of the the script is as if not more important than branding. The script is the blueprint from which your video is built. One would never go about building a house without a blue print. Why build a video without a script? . Next in the series -- Technical Components...
michaels dig: (not so) ~ Wordless Wednesday ~ 10.12.11 - 10/12/11 10:46 AM
(not so) ~ Wordless Wednesday... I stand and watch in awe as the soft, succulent shades of Summer blend in to the crisp hues of Autumn. All too soon, the pleasant pastels of the fall will fade into oblivion as the first frost puts and end to my summer garden. Until then, I will enjoy the last blooms of the season and the wayward visitors that stop to bask in the warm sunshine...

New Movie ~ ActiveRain Critics Weigh In... Those of you who subscribe to my blog know that I am constantly striving raise the bar when it comes to real estate related videos. The level is not only for myself, as I do have a passion for real estate, but also for the industry as a whole. Without even seeing the video, Sherri granted me permission to post this video to get feed back from you, the (58 comments)
michaels dig: (not so) Speachless Sundae ~ 100911... - 10/09/11 06:59 PM
(not so) Speachless Sundae... This has been a crazy week. Not that it has gone to the dogs, mind you, but rather, I feel like I have been dogging a lot of videos over the past few days which has left me dog tired. Overall, though, it has been a doggone good week. So before this post goes to the dogs, I bid you all adieu. Have a great, what's left of Sunday and a wonderful start to next week...
michaels dig: Your 60 Second... - 09/30/11 05:41 AM
Your 60 Second... Many of you that are familiar with networking groups are familiar with the term "60 Second infomercial". And, if you subscribe to my blog, you know that I am a big advocate for using video for property listings. I will be the first to admit, I do not know it all when it comes to this fledgling segment of the real estate industry. Based on feed back from local marketing experts and folks I know on the left coast who are also blazing this trail eastward, the following is a given: 1. A real estate video is (48 comments)
michaels dig: In the Palm of My Hand... - 09/28/11 05:20 AM
In the Palm of My Hand... The other day while working on one of my Koi ponds, I heard a loud thump on one of the glass windows to the sun room and a very recognizable squeak. Hummers get rather aggressive around the feeder this time of year as they buzz one another in order to secure the remaining supply of nectar for themselves. Looking up, I saw this hummer flop to the ground right in front of me and I had to reach out to keep it from falling into the pond. Now if any of you are an (21 comments)
michaels dig: Palindromes... - 09/26/11 05:26 AM
Palindromes... Palindromes. Those words, phrases, numbers, or other sequences of units that can be read the same way in either direction, with general allowances for adjustments to punctuation and word dividers. How often do we see them here in the Rain? I can probably count on one hand the number of times it has happened to me. But then, maybe some of you have been luckier than I have. Nevertheless, I thought I'd share one of ActiveRain's oddities as this is what I logged into this morning... (21 comments)

michaels dig: Free Day... - 09/24/11 05:40 AM
Free Day... Didja ever have one of those days when you just felt like being a slacker? And, not being just a slacker, I talking about being the epitome, poster child material of a real limp noodle here folks. Now normally, I am high energy, mind in constant motion - but today? Dormant, lackadaisical, quiescent... See? Even my lucky Bingo card says "free day" on it. We're all entitled to one every now and then and guess what? Today's my day! Manana Amigos...

michaels dig: Friday's Fotos ~ Saturday Edition... - 09/17/11 06:09 AM
Friday's Fotos ~ Saturday Edition... Lawdy, Where did Friday go? Talk about being a blur. Hopefully things will be a little less hectic today... As many of you may know, I'm prone to get into my right mind from time to time and go wander mindlessly behind the pixels, lost in my own little world. Every now and then, I stumble upon something unique. Thankfully, no one was around to see what position I had to get into to take this one...
michaels dig: Who IS the Most AWESOME Person Today??? - 09/16/11 04:44 AM
Who IS the Most AWESOME Person Today??? We all know folks who have been known to put the "T" in trouble, but how many do you know that put the "A" in Awesome? Me? I have known a few. As a matter of fact, I can count them all on my 10 digits. But for me, there is one special person, here in the Rain, that has literally put the "A" in AWESOME with his wit, humor, and interaction with so many here. He has entertained us with his videos, made us smile with his creative marketing mind and from (48 comments)
michaels dig: (not so) Wordless Wednesday ~ Thursday Edition... - 09/15/11 03:18 PM
(not so) Wordless Wednesday ~Thursday Edition... I often wonder where the time goes. When I was younger, it seemed as if the grass was greener and I had all the time in the world to do the things I wanted to do. No hurry, there is always tomorrow. Odd how your perspective on life, people and things change especially when you enter the autumn of your life...
michaels dig: (not so) Speachless Sundae... - 09/11/11 05:49 AM
(not so) Speachless Sundae... There are those simple pleasures in life that we often take for granted. The soothing sounds of a gentle babbling brook, the wonderment woodland forests and the sheer beauty of a moon flower opening at dusk. Take 30 seconds out of your busy life to watch the video below. Isn't the austere design by the Grand Master just awesome? Enjoy...
michaels dig: Friday's Fotos... - 09/09/11 05:11 AM
Friday's Fotos... This morning I will take a break from my video blog series and post another in the series this afternoon. My nemesis in the photography world has always been and still is hummers. Being so fast and darting too and fro in an instant hardly gives one time to set up and push the shutter release. While watching this little one working the bush, I focused on a likely area she might be next. HAH!!! Sometimes you do get lucky. But then, in this business, I'd rather be lucky than good...
michaels dig: Writing A Script... - 09/08/11 05:35 AM
Writing A Script... In continuing my series, IF you are going to do video, the best and only place to start is with a script. Plan first, on paper, what you intend to say. Not many have the ability to "think on their feet" and get it right the first time through. I hope you find this short video helpful. If you have any specific questions, email me at email@example.com. If, I like your question I will use it in one of my segments. The video content for this post has also been placed on my website, RadnorLakeVideo.com. I will (16 comments)

(not so) Speachless Sundae... All too soon, the last holiday of the summer will come to a close. In a little while, the fading colors of this sunny season will be giving way to the brilliant colors and cooler temperatures of fall. But for now; I prefer to lift my head to face the sky. I feel the warmth of the morning sun gently caress my bare skin. Ever so softly, my lover whispers songs of love That echo into the depths of my soul. She tenderly brushes the back of my neck. Shivers, run down my spine. Yes, my (16 comments)
michaels dig: Friday's Photos ~ Thank You... - 09/02/11 06:25 AM
Friday's Photos ~ Thank You... I almost always get my inspiration through early morning walks around the many hills, streams and valleys in the Williamson County TN area. Having been bitten by the shutter bug I caught that incurable disease, shutteratosis. There is no medicine to cure my ills other than getting my daily fix of shutter releases. The photo below is the result of one of my early morning walks and therapy... I do want to thank all who responded to my post yesterday "The Video Revolution". I have heard you and I need your input. I want to (18 comments)
