Three Things I Didn't Know About My I-Phone 4S That I Wish I Did!
I don't know about you, but I've become pretty attached to my I-Phone 4S, so when it doesn't work right...it messes with me and my work. Here are three things that I recently learned about my I-Phone 4S that I wish I'd known before. Oh sure...it's probably clear as day in the guide that comes with it, but so far, I've mentioned them to a few other addicted folks..and they didn't know about them either. So..figure I might as well share.

I can remember as a young girl sitting in my basement pouring over the pages of the Brother's Grimm books my Mom had gotten for me ...one of those book of the month type things. I can remember thinking at the time that these were not the fairy tales I was used to..and for a young girl pretty scary reading. Home buyers, would you ever think of walking down a street in Portland and saying "Hey, that house looks cool...maybe the back door is open and I can go in and check it out!"?
Well, if you were thinking of breaking and entering into someone's home you might, but in general most people don't do this.

I love this part of the job as it means that everything came together with all the various participants from the Seller, Buyer, Lender, Title Escrow Officer, Listing agent and me...the Buyer's agent in this case.

Parallel 45 Wine Bar, You Will Be Missed
I can't remember the year Parallel 45 opened, but I do know that I was excited to see a wine bar being added as a place to go at Tualatin Commons on the Lake.
I've been enjoying visiting with friends here since they opened..whether enjoying the warm ambiance during the winters inside, or sitting outside soaking up the sun by the lake in the summer.

I can remember taking some form of quiz back in high school..think it was in one of those "filler" classes on home and family in my senior year. I can remember at the time the question was something like " Are you a VW Bug or a Cadillac?" Now this was in 1978..so in my formative "hippie" years I was totally a VW Bug. What's the Difference Between the Signing date and Closing Date when Buying or Selling a Home in Portland?
Years ago when I was buying my first house, there were so many different terms, dates, timelines that we needed to learn and keep track of. I know back then, I didn't know the difference between the signing and closing date....in fact, I thought the date that you signed WAS the closing date.
Having worked with many first time buyers in the Portland Metro area, I know that this just might be one of those things that they might not know … (14 comments)

I woke yesterday morning feeling a mixture of excited nervousness. This was not only my first time going through the jury duty process...but also the first time I'd ever be in a courtroom. Oh..I've seen my share of court shows, but I also know they are TV...so was really interested in the real thing.
