Commercial Mortgage loans delinquency rates have more than tripled in just 6 months up to 2.7% in May, their highest point in a decade.    Couple this with the $154.5 Bil.  Commercial loans that will be due between now and 2012, and you have a disaster.

Developers today have several challenges in this slow market, a significant change from what was once a robust environment.  One of their top concerns is their lack of liquidity.
Developers throughout the country are finding themselves in the situation where their lenders want pay down or pay off on existing loans they offered and hold for raw land parcels.   To make matters worse, the developers are having a hard time finding funding to refinance their loan as the underwriting for these types of deals has become exceptionally stiff.   In today's market many good transactions cannot be financed by traditional lending institutions.
